hay guys ive got a quick question, ive just got some cash, so what game should i get. this game or castlevania lords of shadow, both of the original games are near and dear to my heart, so im having a hard time figuring out witch re-make to get.
@zanadoo7412 well i think what they were looking for in ps3 was a person everyone knew from ps3 and kratos is a pretty big player in it so if they were even gonna do a exclusive character for 360 it would have to be someone a lot of people know but at this point i dont care if they do 360 users are gonna get a bunch of dlc with more character's and stuff so im happy with that.
sorry, that's not true. ps3 has 3D and kratos. 360 will only have the same DLC ps3 gets and no times exclusives either. don't be bitter. the only people that will care about kratos is god of war fans. and not many people will be utilizing 3d. but it's not true the 360 will have anything the ps3 will have i'm afraid.

Ed Boon Did a Fantastic Job in this game.. Pros: The Tag Team, 2. Adding Kratos.. Brilliant.. Cons: 1. ALL the characters look fantastic.. But Sub-Zero looks Horrible!! 2. The Combos are hard to do.. Besides that Two thumbs up Ed Boon..

fuck Street Fighter. Mortal Kombat has always ruled over all, and this is just a solidifier. Sorta like it's 52-3 with :20 left in the game and the possible TD run turns into a fumble. Argue the fumble all you want, it's STILL 52-3!
I do wish they would have added in the "acceleration" / run ability like they did in MK Trilogy. It made the fight seem so much faster. What I didn't want, which I noticed in this demo, is having the opponent stay on one side of the screen, and you having to constantly jump towards them to catch up. The "RUN" button made it impossible for the player to hide or run from the other. Ugh.. I loved that!
Kratos was a mistake for authenticity and the game will never be as dark and gruesome as it was when they used real photographed people instead of the unreal engine. Still, i'll be getting the game but i truely wish that Mortal Kombat would go back to its REAL dark day's... Mortal Kombat (1993)
Good to see xplay is still throwing the hard ball questions. "Have you added any new moves?" I mean wtf is that? You have one of the most important and iconic people behind Mortal Kombat in your studio to answer questions and you ask him if there are any new moves??? Seriously???
why is everything so exclusive to ps3 consoles where they are having Kratos. if you were to do that then why not on 360. it is just like ps2 games where they have extra things added. why do it to all the console games that it will be held playable on and make things alot easier
@DaGreatestAjb 360 gets exclusive DLC as well, like Dead Rising 2 for example. (Case Zero and Case West). Exclusive DLC sucks, no matter which console you have, and it's a shame that it wont be stopping any time soon.
@DaGreatestAjb One simple reason the PS3 is getting an exclusive character over the 360, MONEY, for the same reason Microsoft paid $50,000,000 to have DLC for GTA4 6 months to a year prior to the same DLC coming out on PS3, whoever offers to pay more for something gets the better deal. Sony saw an opportunity with this and went for the jugular. Plain and simple, money. Hope that helps to answer your question. There have been rumors of a Gears of War character being added, but only rumors.
We stress the point of CONSOLE-EXCLUSIVE. God of War has only been on Sony's consoles and nowhere else, so Kratos makes sense.
Marcus Fenix from Gears of War, a Microsoft-exclusive series (albeit NOT Xbox/360-exclusive), would be the most likely fit. But I doubt there will be an Xbox 360 character at all, though I still hope so for those who own it.
Still, one non-MK character both consoles can have and that we might like to see is Bayonetta. It's a thought…

who cares if theres kratos is in it god......after all the bitching and whinnig ive heard "oh shaolin monks sucked" or "armagedon had to many characters" and "deadlly allience was so cheesy" and the best one was all the hate on m.k. vs d.c grow up ppl its just a videogame they finnally gone back to their roots and so have allot of games latelly sonic 4 and colors rocked because they went back to the oldschool style personally i just cant wait for a new classic zelda

@omgitzruffles I agree, except for the Shaolin Monks part. I loved that game, and so did a LOT of other people. I'm sure the biggest issue was that it wasn't a "true" fighting game. But whatever, it still kicked ass.

fuck Street Fighter. Mortal Kombat has always ruled over all, and this is just a solidifier. Sorta like it's 52-3 with :20 left in the game and the possible TD run turns into a fumble. Argue the fumble all you want, it's STILL 52-3!

I do wish they would have added in the "acceleration" / run ability like they did in MK Trilogy. It made the fight seem so much faster. What I didn't want, which I noticed in this demo, is having the opponent stay on one side of the screen, and you having to constantly jump towards them to catch up. The "RUN" button made it impossible for the player to hide or run from the other. Ugh.. I loved that!

Kratos was a mistake for authenticity and the game will never be as dark and gruesome as it was when they used real photographed people instead of the unreal engine. Still, i'll be getting the game but i truely wish that Mortal Kombat would go back to its REAL dark day's... Mortal Kombat (1993)

why is everything so exclusive to ps3 consoles where they are having Kratos. if you were to do that then why not on 360. it is just like ps2 games where they have extra things added. why do it to all the console games that it will be held playable on and make things alot easier

@DaGreatestAjb 360 gets exclusive DLC as well, like Dead Rising 2 for example. (Case Zero and Case West). Exclusive DLC sucks, no matter which console you have, and it's a shame that it wont be stopping any time soon.

@DaGreatestAjb One simple reason the PS3 is getting an exclusive character over the 360, MONEY, for the same reason Microsoft paid $50,000,000 to have DLC for GTA4 6 months to a year prior to the same DLC coming out on PS3, whoever offers to pay more for something gets the better deal. Sony saw an opportunity with this and went for the jugular. Plain and simple, money. Hope that helps to answer your question. There have been rumors of a Gears of War character being added, but only rumors.

We stress the point of CONSOLE-EXCLUSIVE. God of War has only been on Sony's consoles and nowhere else, so Kratos makes sense.
Marcus Fenix from Gears of War, a Microsoft-exclusive series (albeit NOT Xbox/360-exclusive), would be the most likely fit. But I doubt there will be an Xbox 360 character at all, though I still hope so for those who own it.
Still, one non-MK character both consoles can have and that we might like to see is Bayonetta. It's a thought…

@filetransferSAW That happens in the MK games. In Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, you could impale someone with a sword and they would still fight normally with the sword still stuck in their body.
