  • though his dvds are on the expensive side, i think just listening to him speak and explain things is worth every penny, not to mention you get some great drumming as well....

  • Who in the Hell disliked this video! I will hunt them down, tie them up and force them to listen to Rush until they appreciate the greatness of which is Neil Peart

  • he looks like Damone in Fast Times

  • I think Neil needs to be on "Dancing with the Stars".

  • THANK GOD. This is why I love neil. I cant stand reading modern drumming and hearing over and over to "play to the music" "never over play" and "keep it simple, not too many fills now." Fuck that. Neil never did that shit and hes one of the best. Its one thing to play to the music its another to only do 4 fills a song.

  • Who cares? This is an old video you hater- your not talented or rich like he is either

  • hair is fake, look at the hairline

  • And you sir Peart, have influenced a generation of just a touch more enlightened percussionists!

  • Neil Peart just described what makes for great art and artists in just over two minutes.

  • neil is a real fascinating person

  • Hey! I didn't know kevin spacey made music!

  • @tactical01978 It's actually Kevin Spacey and Tom Hanks morphed....

  • Brilliant! just Brilliant. I love you Neil \m/

  • Clams!!!!

  • good philosophy

  • There are many many levels of "master" I consider anyone who can play fluently and with great colour..is a master..it's not about bragging it is what it is

  • i know im gonna get yelled at for saying this but a drummer who show cases the K.I.S.S idea is lars ulrich, all of his patterns are based on 4/4 times. anyone else agree?

  • @Agc2749 Not really. Listen to the song 'One'. Lars mostly plays in 4/4 time because that's the structure James uses when he writes the guitar parts.

  • Wow. How cool is this. Thanks so much 4 posting. I always wondered about this. Great advice from the master. Thank-you so much.

  • i have no idea what the hell he just said

  • drummers r to confusing, ima stuck to gutair

  • Neil is such a dumb ass

  • @theothertroll Your a fucking retard

  • @theothertroll Really? Just for making that post you have illuminated who the dumb ass is. Go take a look in the mirror if you haven't figured it out yet. At least your name is insightful, troll is very accurate.

To get back to Neil, just listening to a guy who is a master of his craft, yet understands that there is always room from improvement, and he comes off very humble when speaking of other drummers. Long live Rush, it is a deep hope that they continue releasing new music and tour.

  • hello

  • Duh...everyone knows that....

  • EVERYTHING NEIL DOES IS MASTERFULL...I AM GLAD TO SAY ,THAT THANKS TO NEIL AND THE FOUR HOURS OF PRACITICING EVERY RUSH ALBUM EVERY DAY AS A KID,,,I CAN THANK HIM ...THAT I TOO AM NOW A MASTER!!

    THANK YOU NEIL PEART!

  • @jammerholic if you were a master you would be humble like Neil and not brag about it. im pretty sure he never once said "yes, i am a master at drumming.

  • boooooooooo

  • What's this from?

  • @PhUTube4Evah This video is from Neils " a work in progress" DVD.

  • Very well spoken :D

    Great video :)

  • @PezaPesto Thx! glad u liked it. I think all of us should have this kind of mind set.....

  • NEAL PERT YEA NICE RUSH FTW i thought buddy rich died

  • @MADdrummer971 Neil has been a great motivator for me & my drumming over the years! I posses none of his skill or style in my own play'n But, i have always had instilled in me this kind of mind set when i play. And yes sadly Buddy passed in April of 1987. He was billed as "the world's greatest drummer" even today!
