That is beauty! Love the Brandywine, I never waste my time growing other types of tomatos ever since I tasted this variety. D best tasting tomato. I grew a 12foot tomato plant my guess mayb 50lbs of fruit. It looked like a tree,and it was my first year gardening :) was so happy took pictures and showed all my friends
wow! those are huge! and i thought mine were big this year, holy cow! what variety where those? dinner plate? giant belgium? lol, (please say somthing i bought this year!)
If you get a pair of sissors that feature a curved indentation in one of the blades, you can affect a cut of the stem with more sureness, and more easily avoid breaking the skin of the tomato (thus more shelf life). Just an idea.
OMG! I can't believe the size of those BW's!!! What's your secret? I have 2 plants that are going crazy tall and wide, but very little fruit on each plant (7 or 8 maybe a bit more) and, so far, only one is turning pink. It gets pretty hot here in E. WA. Suppose to be in the 90's today...Thanks and congrats! What I wouldn't do for a BLT with your tomatoes!!! yum yum
@greenfingers41 hey you most likly know this but.... if you get good tomatoes from it why not get a clone or two :D same propertys and good chance you will get great tomatoes
WOW ! Absolutely WOW ! You really have to be that one level up of a gardener to know how to grow big mama's like these.I consider myself to be a very good gardener,but this would have to be the next step up
hardly any seeds in them. Great feature for eating, but not great if you want to find seed to grow. I find it hard to get Brandwine seeds. When you send away for some you get 10 seeds for 3 or 4 dollars. I guess you would only need one well grown plant though. And then you could save your own seed as long as there wasnt any cross pollination with other tomatoes.
Wonderfull looking tomato, and you have set lots of Brandywines on each plant. One problem with my customers. I sell maybe a ton +tomatoes each year. When I have tomatoes that big, they sit on the table for quite a while, while the half pounders sell real fast.

They had a good flavour too and were very fleshy rather than seedy

@Rosalila In my opinion Brandywines have the best flavor of any tomato.
dpla5762 1 year ago
@Rosalila Brandywine are the most flavorful tomatoes I've ever eaten! They are outrageously tasty.

did you know what is wrong with the plant/leaves?
HackerGuitarist 1 year ago
@HackerGuitarist
Not sure what you mean here - tomato plant leaves generally look like this at this time in the season
greenfingers41 1 year ago
@greenfingers41 no the yellowing between the veins of the leaves is not normal.
TheRocketSilo 11 months ago
@HackerGuitarist
That looks like nitrogen deficiency,or desease.They should never look like that.

Hi Paradisio
Just use the glass chopping board for hygiene reasons as bacteria tends to get into the grooves cut in plastic and wood.
greenfingers41 2 years ago
Very nice maters :D
Unrelated, but switch to a wood or plastic cutting board. Looks like you got some nice cutlery, glass cutting boards dull knives quickly!
