Thanks for your kind words. I made the mandocello. It has a sitka spruce carved front, caarved maple back, sides and neck with an ebony fretboard. I'm on a quest to build the entire mandolin family based on hose early mandolins, mandolas, mandocellos and today started drawing out the plans for a mandobass. I'm using Kaman Mandocello strings...like they use on Ovation mandocellos. I use a stiff pick. I have an Eastman mandocello but I like playing this one far better.
I realize this is an older video post but I was just curious what the nut size was?

Fabulous! Fine playing. Love the Bach - -it really sounds great on the mandocello. I also like the sound of that instrument. What kind is it?
It looks like a very good copy of a Gibson K-4 Also what are you using for strings and pick?
