I think the problem is when you have it, you have the bad felling of something is wrong, and in this case i think is probably the fear of losing it. Because when "chase" you know then the person of you want it, can like you or not, kinda are in a "safe position". But when you know the person really loves you, fell like just only run away because he/she dumps you, this time is hurt really bad.

I bet most people are like that at some point. I think it's because you don't really love the guy, you just love the idea of him falling for you. So when he does fall for you he is of no use to you anymore. Sounds to me like a self esteem issue. If you are more secure with yourself you can stop chasing guys to feed your vanity and start finding true love. Hope you find someone, you certainly deserve someone as great as you and someone who truly loves you and you love him. =)

i used to have the same problem...but now it's even worse. i liked a guy and he did hint that he liked me back just a little bit but then he got a gf and i just couldn't forget about him for months. i mean i CAN'T forget about him. and i don't know what to do anymore, it's so frustrating to see them together and to know that i can't do anything about it.
