When I learned to heelflip, I would do the whole ollie, slide kick, but what helps is if you really focus on not just bringing your flipping foot back, but more like keeping both feet together, it seems a lot easier if your doing it for both

heelflips are easier to learn. once you know how to kickflip, they become a whole lot easier. heelflips helped me kickflip.
