  • i've seriously been listening to his music since 8am...W T F

  • @JustinDD I honestly think a Ray LaMontagne/Dallas Green collab would be amazing!

  • i love what he is doign with his feet the whole time, he is genius.

  • wtf was that at the beginning?

  • the version on the album will be acoustic!! so much better than the band version if it comes to me.

  • that one person who disliked this is obviously deaf, right?

  • For everyone wondering the guitar he's playing is a Martin, not sure on the model but it might be the vintage 00-17 he uses.

  • 1 guy is angry because his girlfriend broke up with him due to the fact that he has this song on repeat whenever they make love.

  • "Can I see if I can fit his whole head in my mouth" Ahahahaha.

  • I had a dream last night that I met Dallas after his Melbourne show and he and his crew came back to my house for a few drinks. I WISH!!

  • This song is gonna be on his new album.

  • The guitar looks like a Martin or a Huss and Dalton.

  • he looks cold! :P

gosh this guy is amazing. BY FAR one of the best artists out there.

  • the way he moves his feet is cute

  • 1 dislike? what the actual fuck, this is perfection, no one will ever come close to how beautiful this song is.

  • Does anyone know what kind of guitar is that ???

  • @istushlapoche spanish guitar

  • @istushlapoche I'd guess it's an old Martin 000-15. maybe from the 80's

  • what kind of guitar is that....anyone?

  • I actually hope he records this song just as himself and the acoustic for the third album it's absolutely mesmerizing this way...

  • Man this guy mesmerizes me

  • what a majestic pair of shoes.

    and voice to match!

  • that motherfucker has some nice shoes. I'm not happy that they are not on my feet.....

  • His voice alone brings tears to my eyes. It's so angelic. I'm so, so in love with this man. Everything about him. He's truly amazing. <3

  • his feet movements... epic.

  • @bombay331 i cant invision anything better than that combination

  • I listened to this song this morning and its been in my head the whole day. So I had to come back and listen to it one more time. I hope he puts this on the next City and Colour album.

  • Jonny Craig and Dallas Green collab, anyone?

  • @bombay331 no...

  • @bombay331 I was thinking that exact same thing!

I was also thinking about Dallas Green, Jonny Craig, and Justin Vernon (Bon Iver)

how amazing of a song or Album would that be eh?!

  • @JustinDD I don't see jonny and Dallas working soon together cause their both so different from each other i think he would rather work with Justin Vernon cause he is more mature then Jonny and less a prick no offense i like jonny craig his voice and songs to but he is just more the typical rock star kinda guy.

  • @bombay331 Nooooooooooo. Dallas Green is far too mature to get on the same level as Jonny I think.

  • @bombay331 well, jonny and dallas lead completely different lifestyles. it would be an interesting clash, but i doubt they would cross paths. on purpose, at least.

  • @bombay331 ah, NO THANK YOU.

  • @bombay331 maybe if they did a colab on like Children of Divorce where Dallas of course played the guitar...and sang if not half, more....maybe he should just cover it all together and make it more amazing.

  • @bombay331 Jonny craig is nothing compared to Dallas Green.

  • @bombay331 No.. Jonny craig is a self-centered asshole. Fuck that.

  • @bombay331 you should know they are completely opposite people. just because both are renowned for their voice, does not mean they should collab. I think Dallas would get fed up pretty quickly with Jonny, and don't get me wrong, I love listening to Jonny Craig sing.

  • @streetlightshadow

Ive always thought there voices were THE best,Jonny Craig is one of my all time favorites along with Dallas... A collab would be AWSOME,but I dont believe it would work either. Dallas and Jonny both sing about heartbreak, stuggles, and love, but there views and perspective on them are VERY different. Dallas an Angel and Saint,Jonny...Eh a lesser tainted version of the two.

  • @streetlightshadow I agree don't think Dallas would last long with jonny cause he seems more like a typical rockstar kinda guy and Dallas is more a down to earth kinda guy that's why i like him so much more. :)

  • @bombay331 If I'm honest, I think Dallas would want to punch Jonny.

They're both brilliant vocalists, but it's just the personalities that wouldn't mix.

  • @wutconnur

You took the words out of my mouth. I completely agree!.

  • @bombay331 too bad jonny's in jail! hahahaa

  • @bombay331 No. Just no. Totoally different people. You got your white trash Jonny Craig and then Dallas Green? No.

  • @jessbaumung - thank you so very much for giving us this, I have been literally dying waiting for some new material to come out.

  • his voice is just flawless, he's just sat there having a jam and it sounds exactly like a record

  • Ive got a download available for this song as an MP3 on my own Silver and Gold video I recorded, with the entire band! Its the best recording I know of so far.

  • @Darkryers Full band version of this song is not as good as this. mareeclare has t he best version out there.

  • no dislikes, thats what i like to see!!!!

  • @Hotpockets311 you jinxed it. some idiot thought he'd be a smart ass

  • @seXtasay sorry brosef

  • he could sing a song about how flesh eating zombies ate an entire village of children and it would still be beautiful

  • I believe is the kind of guy that will still make music when he's 80. And I hope he does. He's amazing.

  • who in the world couldnt like dallas ,he is absolutely amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!just amazing .

  • intro<3

  • Dallas + Jess = <3

  • This is a nice video Jess. You captured a unique viewing of a song I haven't heard by Dallas. I also like the Doggie drum beat at the beginning!

  • i really really love this song. i really do.

  • Yes! Vvvvvv

  • I want to see 90% of the artists on the radio today, sit in a room and sing even close to as well as Dallas without computers.

  • @b1ub0x lol they wouldnt cause they cant XD

  • is this an original song? If not does anyone know what band or artist he is covering?

  • @braedrums its an original

  • This song is soo much better without drums!

  • He is seriously so good. Amazing musician.

  • his feet, haha. he's amazing.

  • its a 000-15 from like the late 60's early 70's around there i asked in sf last year at slims :) i want that guitar so bad

  • @joeydelac dude that isnt a 000-15, its a vintage (1980's) 00-17 They stopped making the 00-17's but made a few more in the 80's then stopped again

  • Yeah brah.

  • it COULD be a 00-17 because the only difference between the 0017's and the 0-15 is the gloss they used on them. The 00-17's have more gloss on them then the 0-15.

  • @frankmarra what are u talking about?? the 00-17 are massively different...hell they even have a different bracing system. Which completely changes the sound

  • One of the only differences is the bracing system, look up the specs my friend. I'd say that 80% of them are identical.

  • @frankmarra the bracing system is a major part of defining the guitars sound. So that is a HUGE difference. And no, martin made a few new models of the 00-17 in the 80's before discontinuing them again. These are all the differences on the 00-17 -14 fret clearance -top bracing pattern -different brace wood -has a back purfling -different fingerboard material -fingerboard width -bridge style These are just the changes that affect sound. I couldnt fit all of em.
  • 000-15's are just new re-makes of the 0-15's. Dallas has the original. But the 000-15's are excellent remakes, best guitar i own.

  • this is definitely a 000-15. i asked his roadie at a concert last weekend. not sure what year tho. he's amazing.

  • the way he can just capture you...amazing.

  • You're amazing for sharing this. I am so excited for the next release. he is my god.

  • epic, i love his music so much.

  • nice!!. i have a vid posted of this song to. recorded at massy hall though..lol.. a little bit of a different venue..lol

  • i really really really really really hate you for seeing that i couldnt get floor tickets cuz i took so long to find someone so i didnt see him lmao i wish but cant wait till alexisonfire and city and colour are back in there area aha

  • I love how its such a sad song about the end of the world haha, but dallas sings it like a lullabye

  • so true.

  • OHHH!! It's actually about a dream about the end of the world :D

but who cares, one of the best songs I've ever heard (:

  • this is the best version of it i think. i just wish it was the whole thing

  • what guitar is dallas playing in this, anyone know?

  • Some Martin - 00 shape from around 1980. I think :)

  • Comment removed

  • its a 000-15 from longer than that because he said in an interview it was almost 100 years old. so its definitely before the 30s and probably before the 20's

  • Wrong.

    It's a 1989 vintage Martin 0017.

  • hahaaha aNYthangg, youre wrong, i just met him again for the umpteenth time, and its from 1910 as he said.

  • @treflipper the 1910 guitar he has is a gibson. Anythangg is right its a 1989 vintage 00=17

  • nollie varial heelflip

  • Im pretty sure in the video for the girl he plays his Martin from 1910. Which may be the one here. Then again, Im not a guitar collector.

  • yeppp

  • a martin that old would look nothing like this.

also, that is not a triple ought body,

this is a 00-17, probably from the eighties.

  • its what he says in the recording in st catherines.

  • 00-17's were completely discontinued in 1968. and 000-15's weren't made until 1997.

  • he could sing about what he ate for breakfast and it would still be a amazing song, his voiceee!

  • agreed! in fact, he could sing about singing about what he had for breakfast and it would still be incredible

  • @luke936 I had some french toast, it was really nice. Then I washed it down with OJ and crushed ice. should I submit that idea with that lyric?

  • @luke936 Although his lyrical content, and in my opinion greatly proceeds his amazing voice.

  • @luke936 He could do a cover of Friday by Rebecca Black and make it sound amazing!

  • @TheDarnicle aha, 100% pure talent.

  • I love how he finishes singing and then says "Kay, what are we doing?" Like it was no big deal that he just burst out into beautiful song.

    sigh <3

  • Gosh hes good... I wish this song would come out on Itunes or something I need it in my life more HAHA

  • anyone got an idea which guitar he is playing ? love the color

  • 80's Martin 00-17

  • Its hella funny when Dallas slaps his shoes against the floor at the end haha. I love you Dallas!! :D

  • hey you put it back up!

  • Excellent Vid.

  • this guy is the epitome of beautiful, talented, and pure amazing in every sense. what a voice to encapsulate such musical genius.

    i love you dallas..in a non-gay way. lol

  • very nice.

  • I love this song! This should have so many more views.

Is there the video of the interview anywhere?

  • why doesn't this have more views! sweeeeeet song!
