Some liberal blog was whining about how it was fixed and how this was a media hit job. 1. It wasn't a media hit job, nothing was fabricated, if anything Burner put herself in that position. 2. I'm so sick of both the extreme nutjobs on the left and right always saying it was rigged or whatever. Just admit you LOST, fair and square. Don't "blame the refs" as it were.
Most Harvard graduates are complete boors and too full of themselves to worry about helping others anyway. Burner's campaign is "all about Darcy" and nothing else. If this is the best the Dems can put up in the 8th District (again), they need to go back to the proverbial drawing board.
someone gave you a thumbsdown for telling the truth? I followed a related link to another link to this video. The previous one was her telling everyone what you just said.
Dave Has never lied about his AA. You are mistaken.
No website controlled by Dave or in any interview or in any campaign material has Dave ever claimed a BA or BS.
Darcy, meanwhile, did grossly mistate facts regarding her few years at Microsoft and her degree in economics (and that she has used this degree for 15 years? She graduated in 1996...it is now 2008, now, I don't have a degree in economics from Harvard, but with my Sammamish HS math, that is only 12 years...)
Reichert is proud to talk about his A.A. degree and 30-some years of public service.
Darcy continues to spin this in circles while her own spokesman professor Harry Lewis in HARVARD'S OWN NEWSPAPER the Crimson admits - she does not have an economics degree.
If she'd come clean, it would come off a lot better. But she won't and that is why we could never trust her. This is a pattern now, of her inflating her resume, just like last time when she said she was a Microsoft "executive."
Obviously you don't understand how Harvard works. It doesn't offer dual-degree programs; what Darcy completed was the equivalent of a joint degree in computer science and economics. Reichert and his buddies at the Seattle Times are just spinning Harvard's idiosyncratic terminology into a fake scandal -- because they'd rather talk about nonsense like this than the black hole Republicans have turned our economy into. They're running scared!
so what ur saying is: at harvard one can get the equivalent of a major in economics by taking a total of FIVE classes in econ?
cool. given that, she should have taken five classes in health sciences enabling her to quit the politics game and declare residency in neurosurgery at her alma mater.
he never has denied his A.A. Degree. He has acknowledged it publicly with no shame. Especially considering that at the time Cascadia did not regularly offer the 4 year bachelor degree.
Read the Seattle Times front page article 10-24-08. Darcy Burner has pathetically tried to spin this on Reichert. Even a liberal publication such as the Seattle Times won't spin it that far.
Hey she should hop on a plane to Hawaii and join Obama, while he's forging a birth cert maybe he can have his paper men make her the degree so obviously has...
Unreal. How can you so brazenly lie to voters? It's one thing to say you took classes but yet another to falsely claim a degree. I took economics classes but don't profess to have a degree!
This issue is very clear. Does Darcy Burner have the degree? No.
I'd give her a pass on this. She majored in computer science with a minor in economics. Looks like a non-scandal.

How did Heffter get away with that disingenuous hit piece?? Unless she's simply an idiot, she knows how higher education works. Shame on her.

how can you make a blanket statement about "most harvard graduates?" What proof do you have besides your opinion?

there's nothing fake about the scandal - she lied.
Shall we all feel good about casting our votes for such a person?

A degree in computer science with an emphasis in economics is not the same as a dual major. It is barely a minor.
She is nothing but a typical liberal liar.

for 15 years???
Another lie!
She has been running for Congress for four years...she was in law school for a year (before flunking out)
"and spent fifteen years building on that knowledge every day"
Puffery! Lies! Does she even know how to speak the truth?

Don't try to defend her. You know what she was was trying to do. You either have a degree in economics or you don't. She doesn't.
Whether she got it at Harvard or BCC, either way the only relevant point is that she lied about it.
How many lies does she have to tell about herself before people realize she's a poser?

Democrat or Republican, a lie is a lie and this is politics.

Next week she will have a degree in transportation planning and the week after that, she will be a neurosurgeon...
she got a scholarship from conAgra--don't they make frankenfoods?
I have spent fifteen years working in economics? really?
