In approximately 50 years, the Chinese population will be cut SEVENTY FIVE PERCENT... 50% population (25% male + 25% female) may have one child per couple... And secondly, what's with the creepy music? Shouldn't the facts stand alone for themselves without having to sneakily influence the viewers' auditory senses with negative background music that will unfairly cause us to associate the UNFPA with negative connotations? There's too much manipulation and scare tactics being used and not enough facts being presented. You may fool some people but to the intelligent people who actually think about what they hear won't be tricked by this. Back it up.

I'm not going to outright defend the UNFPA, but since this is the only video that I've seen of anything like this, how did the UNFPA "support the one child law in China"? And when it says around 1:20 that after a woman refused an involuntary abortion, then her extended family was arrested and their homes destroyed, and that the UNFPA did nothing to stop it, where's the proof that the UNFPA even knew about this case? You can't just make claims like these and not back them up with evidence.

In malawi, I saw the effects of religious anti-abortion anti-choice organistaions such as PRI who made this video. Women were denied access to doctors and as a result were dying due to backstreet botch job abortions. The rise is AIDS is huge too.

I worked with the UNFPA in Africa during the Bush right wing administration.

I did a 3 year tour of duty in Zambia.

The UNFPA promoted womems reproductive rights - gender equality and child rights.

I just spoke to a Mexican woman today who had an IUD put in her without her knowledge after giving birth to her 3rd. She told me she knew of other indigenous women who had their tubes tied under coercion by doctors.

You will realise since 2002 Bush administration has barred contributions to UNFPA. The cumulative loss to UNFPA neared $300 million this year, at a time when maternal mortality remains high and family planning programs, in great demand in poor nations, are falling well behind funding campaigns for fighting HIV-AIDS.

Every minute, one woman dies during pregnancy and birth because she did not receive adequate treatment. People behind the video (PRI) look the other way, UNFPA helps by increasing interventions for safe motherhood saving lives of thousands of women and infants.

My question is why get involved in something that isn't your concern? I'm not advicating that they should use such drastic Eugenic procedures to lower the population, but what other ideals are there to reduce the population in a non-violent way? Just forcing them to not do eugenics isn't exactly going to keep population down enough to be able to have a stable economy or feed the growing numbers? Food,clothing,and shelter does drop from the sky you know.

This is really horrible. George W. Bush has done more than most of us know to protect Life in many corners of this planet. It will be a sad day when obama takes office and undos Bush's life saving work.
