I think it's a bit odd to say that being a size zero is wrong and then go ahead and tell overweight girls skinny isn't beautiful. Because honestly some people just have a really fast metabolism, just like some have a slow metabolism. I am curvy myself, but I am healthy, curvy doesn't mean being obese or overweight.

Im sorry, Im a curvy girl myself (big boob size 40 thats a UK10 and US8) and as a personal trainer I have to say that almost all of these girls are overweight. That doesnt make them bad persons but I dont promote unhealthy weight as beautiful, in either way.
I think a lot of overweight girls are hypocrites. I’m naturally tall and skinny, I eat what I want, I don’t starve myself and I am beautiful. So why are you allowed to love your ‘curves’ but it’s wrong for me to love my ‘bones’? Why is it okay to call me anorexic, but horrible for me to call you fat? If you can tell me to ‘gain weight’, why cant I tell you to lose weight? If you can feel beautiful being big, I can feel beautiful being small.

@mary9183 I happen to have a very attractive boyfriend. I'm neither gross nor sloppy. I used to be underweight until I had a tonsillectomy and they nicked my thyroid gland. Then I ballooned in weight like my mother and grandmother before me. I exercise, eat right, and hit the gym 3-4 times a week. I'm comfortable at my size. I realize I'm overweight, but its not necessarily my "fault" so to speak. So please do some research and stop spreading hate =)

If you go to countries that don't pander to the western media: Persia, Greece, Nigeria, etc etc etc, it is not at all favoured to be thin. Strong fit women with curves are definitely prefered ....and thus very content within their own bodies.

What is sad is that while society recognizes that different men crave different women, if you study the professional cheerleaders for any NFL team, it seems like they're all cut from the same mold. A true representative squad must include women of all sizes. I mean there are some very solidly built size 16's like Ashley Graham, that no man could look away from. I think there are beautiful people in all body types, though, and I think people make a huge mistake when they think that all skinny people are anorexic as well. Not all of us are. @ByeByeBelly interestingly I must agree. This ladies look normal, They should be the ones strutting their stuff on the runway with the skinnier ones too. The clothing industry should represent all of their consumers, not just the small portion. All body sizes from size 0 to sizes 3X to 6X so that the public can see how the clothing would look realisticly. However, back to the video, many of those girls look like normal girls. Very few of them I would put under the "Plus-size" chart.
@FeryalCritic1 i think the only reason that models with no figures are on the runway is because they want the focus to be on the clothing, rather than on the person. That's why they do not have bigger people doing this. If the main focus were the beauty of the model, i'm sure there would be women with figures up there.

If you search youtube for some of the older fashion videos, I have noticed that they don't walk as provocatively like today's models do. Plus it's cheaper to make clothes for a thin model vs. a normal sized woman. Not to mention the trends call for thin girls to wear the clothes they make, as most clothes companies don't go over a size limit, though some are catching on.

@mary9183 I happen to have a very attractive boyfriend. I'm neither gross nor sloppy. I used to be underweight until I had a tonsillectomy and they nicked my thyroid gland. Then I ballooned in weight like my mother and grandmother before me. I exercise, eat right, and hit the gym 3-4 times a week. I'm comfortable at my size. I realize I'm overweight, but its not necessarily my "fault" so to speak. So please do some research and stop spreading hate =)

@ByeByeBelly interestingly I must agree. This ladies look normal, They should be the ones strutting their stuff on the runway with the skinnier ones too. The clothing industry should represent all of their consumers, not just the small portion. All body sizes from size 0 to sizes 3X to 6X so that the public can see how the clothing would look realisticly. However, back to the video, many of those girls look like normal girls. Very few of them I would put under the "Plus-size" chart.

Plus it's cheaper to make clothes for a thin model vs. a normal sized woman. Not to mention the trends call for thin girls to wear the clothes they make, as most clothes companies don't go over a size limit, though some are catching on.

@mmelaniemadness why are people "skinny bitches" if they dislike this video? can people simply be people of opinion? When I read "skinny bitches", I think okay, its envy of a big person. Its not like I'm saying its disgusting to be fat. But, I am implying It's unhealthy. Being overweight should not be promoted/condoned. It sends out to overweight young adults who are struggling with weight to "pride" their size and they ultimately give up on battling to lose weight.

@IconicBellezza Yes and we should not promote being skinny either. It is all over the place. Magazines, TV, Internet. All models are skinny and barely any plus-size models are accepted. I think that if women are curvy and proud of it, they are turning their back on what society says is beautiful. I am curvy and if I want to lose weight, I will do it for me, not everyone else.

@mmelaniemadness I'm not trying to sound arrogant, but no one wants to see a big girl modeling our fashion. Skinny, tall models are walking manikins. The clothes fit them in fine, cut proportions with grace as they advertize it down the runway. Its easy on the eyes. Plus-size women don't have that appeal. They can't be accepted. Only in America do they promote this rubbish. Honestly, it is sad to see overweight young men and women. No one wishes to be big, they just accept it.

@IconicBellezza No one wants to see a skinny woman with no ass and no curves. They are pretty much 10 year old boys with vaginas. A 12 is considered a plus-size and that is just fucking ridiculous. You are just ignorant to what beauty is. There a plenty of beautiful, sexy plus-size women that are active and healthy. I play Roller Derby and run twice a week. You can pity us all you want. While we are living life, you can be counting your calories :)

I don't particularly like ignorant people who say that bigger women aren't appealing and that they aren't "easy on the eyes". I have to say, not many skinny women have curves. They are usually flat-chested and are straight as a toothpick . Some of these women are perfectly healthy but just a plus-size. You've categorized the anatomy of skinny women, I say so myself, I am not flat chested, or have a "toothpick" like figure. What you consider "curves" is just fat. Skinny is not just one body type. @EvoSpx Excuse me, I am bashing the people who are bashing this video b y disliking it. I don't bash all skinny women. I have skinny friends, and they are some of the nicest people I know. I am a size 14 actually, so much you know. I run twice a week, work out with my derby team and play roller derby. Much more than riding a bike and much more than a lot of people do now but thank you for your concern :)

Everyone is beautiful in their own way, of course. But I don't believe that we should praise or condone being unhealthy. Whether you're underweight, or overweight. What should be praised, is eating a healthy diet and getting enough exercise.

Gorgeous. I love my curves and feel blessed! I have an amazing hot partner who every female begs for but he wants & loves only me! Everyone should love their bodies and appreciate whatever they have. It's just how you carry yourself. Dress well. Just be as healthy as you can, love and tc of yourself and live your life and be a good person! I am so glad you posted this, women come in all shapes and sizes and that's the reality of the world. Curvy, Slim, Tall, Short...we are all beautiful and have no need to try and live up to some ridiculously skewed view of what we should look like based on some depraved High Fashion industry world view.
