This is an EXCELLENT video! It helped me learn eggbeater from scratch. Back in lessons two instructors taught it to me but did not make it as clear and as easy to understand as this. Working hard on improving my time and getting my toes flexed. Thanks very much for posting this, headed to the pool now to work on it some more.
That training will not benefit you. You might be able to do flutter kicks and pushups a little better but that does not prepare you for what you will endure at SAR School, whether it be Aviation or Surface SAR.
@flyboy39 What would you recommend? I am stationed on the USS Nimitz with a surface swimmer package setup awaiting command sponsorship to send me to the school.
@coachkyle89, I recommend going to the Pro training at the pool with one of your ships swimmers if possible. In Japan we went to the pool 3 times a day and do training there to get our proficiency up in swimming and dry land PT before they send us half way around the world to go to school. Something else that will help is knowing your steps to disentanglement. If you're not training or going to training at least twice a week, it will just be harder at school IMHO.
