Jokes apart... This is a banging tune... Never realised until recently that Saffron (remember the fab mid-late 90s group "Republica"?) was an NJoi vocalist... How cool is that?
ha ha ha bet that geezer dancing regrets that outfit....LOL!! oh my lord wTF was he thinking, even back in the day that was just AWFUL!!!!! good group though
I know, dance music is done on computer and they pretend to mime to it on ere. Same with Righ Said Fred and there drum machine drums which that guy pretends to drum to.
classic tune. I dont care about 'sell outs', as long as i like the tune i couldnt give a crap who actually produced it...... why should i? music is about aural pleasure, not caring about people making money (or not).
@longstonestudio Yes I do mean except, thanks for pointing out my awful English. Now we got that out of the way, what do you think of Orbital for appearing on Top of the Pops in 1990? Just so you know I wasn't particularly picking on your comment just saying its kind of a grey area thats all. Anyways, Peace!
@longstonestudio I realize Orbital were 'sell outs' as well thats why I mentioned it. I just don't think when they went on TOTP it made their contributions to the dance music revolution any less valid. What i'm trying to say its all good. Being uber cool 'underground' became as much of a label as anything and has been marketed to death. So whats the difference? Orbital were working in a pizza joint when Chime hit, why not go out and promote your record and make a few bucks?
remember seeing these folks live back in the day at Rage. needless to say ,i cant remeber the rest of night. lets just say we all went on an starship that night and scooted off to Alpha Centauri. ;-)
Are you lot one drugs.... well you should be this is F**kin great tune.... I saw N-Joi and Saffron at 'Sterns' when it rained from the ceiling.... ahhh those were the days!!!!
God, I've been racking my brain to remember the name of this song for years. I finally remembered it. Takes me back to my clubbing days when I was 25.
Saffron looked much more gorgeous in her N-Joi days than her Republica days. I didn't like her shorter bob with red bits in.
But I admit Republica were a better band.

It never impressed me when bands touting themselves as part of the dance revolution/underground appeared on TOTP.
LFO had the right idea when they passed on the opportunity.

@longstonestudio Fair comment, I would agree accept what about Orbital with Chime in 1990?

Actually, watching this again refreshed my memory...
I wonder if others spot that the dancer (in the red) seems to have some part of his anatomy protruding under the fabric at 2:50 - 2:52 ?
