Toshiba Satellite A205 S4639

I have one of these and there is like a defect on it. My Toshiba boots a clear screen, then all of a sudden when it gets to the program it will freeze and the picture will have all these little square pixels all over the LCD (Something like the Matrix). I keep trying to put the restore cd in it and same thing happens my screen is clear then when it wants to it will freeze. I have heard it would be the vga but it will be clear screen for a while. Does the CPU fail on laptops?

I have a toshiba satellite A205-S5800 System Unit its pretty old as far as i know. Im having major problems connecting to the internet, it seems to have trouble finding the networks. it completely cant find one single network. my question is how do you enable the wifi? how do you turn it on or off?

I have this laptop. I think the first thing you should do is remove windows vista (it's one of the biggest "fails" for microsoft) then it will run good. It runs perfectly on Windows 7. Had it for 4 years! talk about quality, I would have never expected this laptop to last that long.

I have a similar model of this thing. Toshiba Satellite A215 not A205.

Looks similar, mine has 200GB HD, 2 GB RAM, ATI Radeon X1200, AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile Technology 1.90 GHZ.

Reccomend it or the one in this video, to anybody who wants a good laptop for casual use at a good price.

I just got a Toshiba Satellite A205-S4707. It is almost exactly like the one in the video except for the fingerprint reader, the large HDD, and vista ultimate. It has only 120 GB HDD, but the computer I used before the laptop was a friggin' windows 98 Sony Vaio...very slow computer there... I also have vista home premium on it. :)

I have a Satellite P205-S6267 It is just as good with a 17 inch screen. Only thing it has different is a 120gig harddrive and it does not have a finger print reader. Big deal. I rather store my files externally anyways.

Vista ultimate is useless for the hardware to run the extras is not installed. I have homepremiume gives me everything I could ever need
