If you felt the need to read the Intructions, you may discovered that is not a "little stand" but a DVR adapter. So maybe playing "smart guy who doesn´t read user guides", doesn´t fit you quite well.

Although, overall you maid a good job. (i'm not trying to bug you)

hey mate, this is an unboxing and first hands on. this is not a review. that's what the title says. An unboxing video gives you the same impression the average user would get from such a device. maybe you also wanna take a look at the other comments cause someone pointed it already out... i guess that's something you couldn't get because you don't read ;)

hi minipcpro i have the archos 5 i think they misslabeled on of ours mine is 250 g and its smaller and the interface looks different can u explain this thanks and mine supports gps are u sure thats not the archos 7

this is the archos 5 internet tablet. there is a media tablet called archos 5, too

yes dude. Listen There are to models ot there. One is Yours "Archos 5", and another one is called "archos 5 internet tablet". Is not that yours isn't so, it just don't have that name.

The primary difference between them is the OS (interface that you mentioned), wich in your case is an Archos linux based OS. And in the other one is Android. Hope it helps.

@tristar1215 im not minipcpro but I may have an answer for you. You may have the Archos 5 internet tablet but the one being reviewed is the Archos 5 Android tablet.

That black piece of plastic was not a stand, but in fact an Archos DVR Station Adapter. The stand is built onto the back of the device.

Actually no, I am not mixing it up with the Archos 9. All the Archos 5 have a built-in back stand. If you flip the Archos 5 over there is a built-in stand on the left. But here are 4 youtube videos as proof that show the built-in stand on the back. ;O)

And take it from a long time Archos owner. You need only read the information that came with your Archos 5 to find out that the black piece of plastic that you incorrectly said was a stand is in fact an Archos DVR Station Adapter.

the review for the archos 9 were pretty bad, and that was my primary tablet choice IF APPLE dont make a tablet this year, but rumours point to a demo and event to showcase the tablet on jan 26th. not sure about this archos 5
