Ruby is about a yank soldier coming home crippled and his wife leaving him to go out on the town. Like all American references to Vietnam it fails to mention 3 million dead Vietnamese (mostly civiiians, many children) not to mention the birth defects which continue. Agent orange, you know.
You make a very valid point but perhaps you should read my last comment posted , My friend came home crippled and beaten down and yes his wife left him but he drove on through it all.
It was supposed to be something I started for an old friend and I used Ruby don't take your love to town because it's one of his favorite songs and the last line that plays at the end of the video just seemed to fit the last shot

I turned off the music to watch this so I really have no idea what this video is supposed to represent.
