The drink is 2 parts gin (should really be Bombay Sapphire), 1 part Cointreau and 1 part fresh lemon juice. You can add some sugar syrup if you want, but make sure it's a tiny amount, otherwise you'll ruin this fabulous thing. Don't put in like 20 shots as Nigella does.

Shake with ice; serve in a glass without ice. Enjoy one of the true classics. It's a great summer afternoon beverage.

This drink ROCKS! I used Triple Sec, fresh squeezed Meyer lemon juice, and Tangueray for the gin. For the sugar water I microwaved 1 cup water until hot and dissolved 2 heaping tblspoons sugar. I let it cool and added a splash of it to my drink. This is so good on a hot summer day.
