My 2005 impala had the problem of a clogged cat so we ran a foot long straight pipe from the headers and it was waaay louder. I had a nice stereo and couldnt hear anything once it took off. At idol the thing sounded like a big ole 454 then it sounded like shit once the gas was pressed.

I have a 2000 Cav(my dad bought it with 12 miles on it) it is a stick overall the engine has 141k on it and still runs very strong, I got it up to 140 mph what the GPS said) it is fast. The body is shit though started rusting at 60k and is very very bad under the car and I need a new hood too, over all I give the car a 3 out of 5, crash safty is very bad on it. My sister has a 2001 cav and hers is automatic and my car is way faster and better on gas too

Did I forget to mention that my Cavalier was stock at that time and that this camaro had aruond 250bhp. A stock LS Sport Cavi only has around 150bhp. Although the driver does make the difference. And no, my Cavalier is no longer stock.

what is wrong with it is the exshaust busted or just strait pipes ? and is the auto tranny slipping or does the clutch need replacing. as far as lack power my 2004 cavalier is not that bad i mean you just gotta know what you're working with 10;1 comp dohc .Use premium fuel upgrade your exshaut and cold air intake good spark plugs synth fluids tranny tuned up ever 25,000-50,000 miles and the cavaliers are peppy and fun.

top of the transmission there is two wire sets, one with 4 or 5 wires, one with around 10. unplug the 4 wire one. a side note this will make for hard shifts.

yah, for some reason the autos have a rev limiter that kicks in at 4000 when in park or nuetral. Not really sure mine. The standard's rev limiter when in... any gear, nuetral or in gear with the clutch in the rev limiter won't kick in until red line
