  • Three people had a long december.

  • great song. reminds me of a winter I spent alone in the woods...

  • @surfric Must've been a brutal night mate.

  • amen. Reminds me of "Heirloom" by Brandon Snipes

  • I hate Charlie GIllinghams horrible Soul Patch! It is the Cliche of 30 year old rockers in the mid to late 90s!

  • Yeah, everyone knows that in order to pack an arena you need to have people moshing. I always wondered about that.

  • i mean, it's good music to blaze up to while you're sitting in your car after a nature hike or some shit like that, but not a festival scene...

i mean, it reminds me of when i watched mr. bungle at bizarre. the show was great, but i watched from my seat on the side of the stage, so i didn't feel nearly as stupid as the people shoulder to shoulder like grazing cattle.

  • Look at Dave Matthews, Fills Arenas all the time and no one mosh's

  • @PooPoo2U Since when is moshing required to play an arena? Richard Marx played arenas. The Goo Goo Dolls play arenas. MILEY CYRUS plays arenas.

There's nothing wrong with Counting Crows playing an arena. The venue played is judged by the amount of FANS, not if the music's moshable.

  • ummmmm...Bruce Springsteen? He sold out Giants Stadium 7 shows in a row...this summer?

  • @PooPoo2U youre retarded why do they have to mosh in an arena wtf

  • love this song, it reminds me last year the electricity went out and it was black iced storm

  • props to the dude rollin the j

  • love this song

  • this is our song cl. dh i love u christina lazzaro

  • oh great memories..counting crows best band ever....

  • i guess the winter makes you laugh a little slower, makes you talk a little lower, about the things you could not show her.....i love the counting crows.

  • @freddyw710

Another year has passed since your comment and the lyrics are still true, as with any Counting Crows song really. I listened to them when I was 18, now at 35 I still do.

  • Holland's so much better than fuckin' England...

  • Holland is the devil's asshole

  • lol why tht?

  • @Kickthehorseback IDK someone said something about holland and I just thought that it would be funny.

  • hahaha! no but you're right. Holland sucks. haha

  • @Kickthehorseback wat doe je hier dan?

  • @Ramirezblanco love this country hate the people in charge. en daarbij, ik hoef me niet echt tegen over jou te verontschuldigen ofzo toch?

  • How bout the guy rollin' a fatty at the 3:35 mark!

  • fuckin awsome dude

  • Is that You????

  • @spudz6975 lol, thats just tabacco, like te one Vincent Vega rolled in Pulp Fiction before his date with Mrs Wallace. Check it out, he sais he brought it from Amsterdam (Holland) and that's also where this festival took place

  • best band ever! he was so young :)

  • Never heard this sing before. Great text this last day in 2008, and tonight is my birthay - hello from Norway!

  • anyone else notice the guy in the black shirt at 3:33 rolling up a doobie haha

  • hahaha u have good eyes

  • aha nice call

  • jeez, if seeing someone rolling a joint is funny, we have a really funny life her in Holland. This is in Holland also, just as funny as seeing someone drink a beer..

  • look like he should been doing meth lmfao

  • lol nice find!

  • the crows remind me of the good times in the mid and late nineties before the world turn a tragic turn for the worse

  • you americans, aussies or africans all are lucky...they never been here in malaysia...the best ever...counting crows...

  • this is in europe..

  • Haha great you name almost everyting accept the part where they are!:P This is a famous festival in The Netherlands:)

  • I was there! My first Pinkpop, I was 15! And this was the biggest surprise to me that year. They blew me away!!! I became a fan and still am today!

  • i

likes this band since many years - others came other goes counting crows are here - sorry for my bad english :-)

  • You Americans are just so lucky being able to hop in the car to see the crows. They've only come to Australia twice - greatest band ever!!

  • okay...now me and my daughter are see the Crows again!!!!....Wellmont theater....wooo hooo....!!!!

  • 3:36

  • Im a huge Crows fan and heard this song 11 years ago for the first time (wow...11 years!) My son was born in December 1997 so this song has alot of meaning for me. He's 10 now and loves the Crows too!!!

  • my son is turning 20 on Sunday...he's at PSU...loves the Crows and we saw them this summer for like the 5th time...I drove out to get him for the weekend and drove him back...it was well worth it for both of us and my daughter (14...loves the Crows)..seeing them at Montage (Scranton PA)...was great...great seats...so I guess my point is...your son is 10 years old but will be seeing the Crows in concert together with you 10 years from now!... (btw...best concert ever..LiVe and the Crows together)

  • i love this song so much, it amazing...

  • Thanks for the video, thoeneu.

God, 1997, ha, I was all of 12.

I have just recently really gotten into Counting Crows, having picked up AaEA and RtS in April after hearing (and loving) A Long December and Round Here for the first time a few years ago and several months ago, respectively. Been listening to them basically non-stop. They're really amazing.

  • good for you detritus...I think my son was 12 when he saw his first Crows concert...he's now 19 and going to his 4th concert in July at Montage ..and that's with one cancellation 2 years ago...(bummer)..they are really amazing in concert...the best ever concert was CC and LiVe...one of the ones my son attended and my daughter...LiVe kicked ass 'till we were exhausted...then the Crows came on and started with "Angels of the Silences"...well wtf...get up on your feet mfs...and children...

  • i was at the concert at montage and im not gunna lie it was sub par i dont even like maroon 5 and i thought they were better

  • So I wasn't the onlyone who liked Counting Crows at the age of 12. Back then I thought only 30 year old people liked the Counting Crows.

Thank you so much for posting this and Round here Thoeneu. It's the first time in eleven years I've seen these preformances and it reminds me why I've been listning to this music ever since. These preformances are amazing!

  • lol no u wernt the only one, i was 8 years old when i heard this song the first time and i still love the Crows, they are my cousins fav band and he is my idol so when he started listening to them i was right their beside him tuning in :-) Crows rock...

  • are you kidding me??the counting crows play round here live better than any other song they play live.?? Adam Duritz just changes the lyrics to show how his emotion or feeling towards the story in the song has changed.

  • I acctualy agree

  • This song is so amazing- the words are so moving. And it is awesome live!

  • i think along with red hot chili peppers and foo fighters the counting crows revived and renergized rock and roll....they just might go down as one of the better rock bands when its all said and done we will have to wait and see.great band though.

  • I like this song!!!!

    =D

  • The Crows are good for the soul!

  • love the crows

  • was here 2 :) it was great :)

  • good times...

  • I was there in Landgraaf the Netherlands, first time I got to see my fav. band of all time on stage... What a wonderful experience to see that same performance again. Long December wraps up every year since then. For me it's the perfect song to start a new year...!

  • whats a reissue

  • Re-issue is october... New album is november. That's right from the source. Adam told the fans that at the concert on 8/25/07 at Dutchess Stadium in NY :) :)

  • Counting crows is one of the best bands over the last 15+ years. Why? They tour when they don't have to. They are in touch with the fans. They are artistic enough not to playem like the record. They are "Happy" doing their thing. Most bands implode on 2-3-4 albums. Their music speaks it isn't crap. thx

  • I just saw them in Indy, the new album is coming out in November.

  • is it new material , a reissue, or a live album?

  • new material, two discs set. saturday nights, sunday mornings it will be named

  • I know I can't wait!!!!! this suff is so old noe not that it is bad i love old stuff

hice my love for Bob Dylan and 60's music

  • Bellissima versione, grazie per aver postato il video!!!!

  • Counting Crows is going down whatever Ad says its been over a long time now.

  • just think about it for a min. this guy got to bag c. cox then j. anniston or vice versa i cant really remember. man it must be pretty rough being a rockstar

  • thank to billie Joe from green day to have made me discover this group with the song big yellow taxi all their song are brilliant!!!

  • big yellow taxi is actually by joni mitchell

  • Long December .... is my favorite music in the moment.

    :)

  • New cd being worked on right now!

  • I've been a huge cc fan over the years, however, long december is not my favorite song to listen to as it's so overplayed, but this is a good version. I like how's he's changed it up over the years. Thanks! Great video!!!

  • I love how much Round Here is altered. And I've never heard the same live version twice

  • It's a rarity that they actually play the "original" version and don't change it up. That's what so great when you go see them. The songs are always changing. I hope they come out with some new stuff soon!

  • i like the acoustic one on across a wire i think that one is great
