I'm sorry for Flint. In the days when US auto industry ruled and you'd be laughed at for even thinking about buying a toyota, jobs paid well and were plentiful. Management saw it coming and milked the brick and mortar assets of US factories, moving production overseas and with it the manufacturing know how and patents we can't get back.

Tell you what, there will be no economic recovery because it was a sham to begin with. The US dollar propped up by Saudi oil since '73, now they're cashing in.

The first light they come to is Welch Blvd and Chevrolet. I lived a block from there - grew up there in the 60's . They are right - that was a great place in its time. GM was where everyone worked and it was a good place to grow up. Now the house I grew up in is gone and there is no work. WTF? I lived on mallery from 1995-2008 that street done got awful full of crack heads and last time I lived there it was c-4 turf. most of the houses abandoned and shot up cus across the street from me used to be a crack house.
