Very gimmicky performance. Parthiv's small success has given him a "swollen head" and over confidence. His body language reeks of arrogance. He is nowhere near success, a little humility and simplicity goes a long way. Good Luck Parthiv.

@gmdchanar First of all, you need to slow down on your assumptions about other people. Parthiv may be a talented singer but he is not the best and has a long way to go. I have heard better singers and they do not have this overconfidence and attitude like Parthiv. Ahir Bhairav is a wonderful raag, listen to Ustad Rashid Khan's version and you will know what I am talking about. Sanjeev Abhyankar's rendition is another great one. Gimmicks do not make a great artist, Riyaaz and humility does.

Mr qiron i have listen ustad rashid and others bt they did not impress me to much....Parthiv would not be a great singer and i admit that there r many better them him bt one thing u should know that the movement of Parthiv,s hands made this song superb...he is in fact enjoying his song....u can not say it gimmick performance

What would have otherwise been a masterpiece of a performance, the fusion has spoiled it all! Not that fusion does not go well with classical music, it certainly does but not this way! The chords and bass give an amazing edge to his singing until the drums start beating mindlessly. It's unfortunate it had to be like that. But that doesn't stop me from thanking you for this not so bad video clip.

The composition is set on drums and electronic music instead of taanpura and taabla and thus sounds more modern/contemporary a fusion of soft rock and HCM.
