    That was also the biggest mud bucket I have ever seen.

    Tripping speed in formation must I some cases be carefull because piston effect from bha. Tripping inside csg can be done faster. Tripping fast is not a goal itself.

  • i am in uae working in loging but my friend he was floor man..unfortunately died last year on the rigfloor when manual tongue slipped and hit him.....he was dead on the spot but on the board doctor and safty man released the note he was dead in the chopper on the way to hospital...only not to give him all his benafits....

  • I was Roughnecking on The Beatrice Alpha back in 1996 and we were drilling with Kelly and using Tongs and manual slips.

    I would of been nice to have a Iron Roughneck and Automatic slips :)

  • I am not sure what you mean. I think some iron roughneck's could be run manually from a safe area on drill floor. but not on this rig. Anyway everything is changed today. Regards AK
