  • hey what camera did you use to record this video? i mean the pictures are good.

  • what were your setting for the car one (if you remember) so that your not really in the picture

  • Great job explaining on how to accomplish light painting.

  • it works! thank you

  • u r awesome

  • good job for nikon d50 !!

  • what are good setting. ISO, aperture, and shutter speed for this kind of photography?

  • Hey mate

    I just have a question

How long is the maximum in terms of shutter speed before damaging your reflex?

I mean if you put it in bulb, is 1 min or 2min dangerous for your reflex?

    Where is the limit?

    Thanks man

  • @lordpolak I really don't know, never have looked it up, but I am sure Google or a Flickr Group will be able to help you

  • @PhotoExtremist thanks

  • @lordpolak you can have one of 30min or more actually

  • @tman383 thanks

  • @lordpolak I've taken shots of 45min in Bulb mode. It does not hurt your camera to stay open like this, it only uses battery power. so make sure to have full batteries before trying and NEVER leave your camera open and on in cold weather (obviously)

  • @abarker87 thanks :)

  • i idea vel hi tra tey e.......

  • hey dude,

New to your channel, I bought your book as well :) I wanted to ask you a question, if I may? When focusing on a subject in the dark, could I have an LED light on top of something? Like a stack of cans for example etc.

  • @tresflip Yes of course :) just place the LED wherever you want the focus point to be and have it facing your camera, focus on it, then switch to manual focus so your camera won't try to autofocus again when taking a picture - you are good to go!

  • "I would recommend using rear if possible." ;) Great vid!

  • freddiew is better

  • 1:08 "we are under attack"

are you running starcraft in the background/???

  • how do you do that end part??

  • can make this with one program i means photoshop or what anser me befor i kill you

  • @jaber2341 You only need a DSLR camera to make these, unless you were talking about the mirrored and colored images at the end - in that case you need Photoshop. Do it before I kill you.

  • @jaber2341 hehehe ok thanx man :D

  • 4:07 looks awesome!

  • will that work for a canon the flash thing

  • This is very helpful. Thank you.

  • 1:06 "We are under attack" from Star Craft. xD

  • sweeeeeeet!

  • Great Video. Thanks.

  • Very Nice...just curious how did u take the pix on the car?? surely u didn't put the sparkles on the car??:)

  • @gedionmanuel Not on it, but a few inches away from it

  • @PhotoExtremist

The fireworks were placed few inches or u walk it around the car? if walk around the car why there's no ghost image of u??

This is very interesting...well done, mate!

  • @gedionmanuel There is no ghost trail of me because I wasn't glowing (like the sparklers were) and I was constantly moving :) and thank you

  • Thank you. :D

  • Wouldn't it be easier to use manual focus as apposed to having to pose and auto focus?

  • @Kfo00793 If you have a huge view-finder or very very good eyes, then yes, go for it! I have just found it easier to just use auto focus though. An even better way would be to use Live-View with the LCD screen (if your camera has one), zoom in all the way on a flashlight laying on the ground so (so you can see it very clearly), then manually focus until it is pin-sharp.

  • very nicely done. !
