@lordpolak I've taken shots of 45min in Bulb mode. It does not hurt your camera to stay open like this, it only uses battery power. so make sure to have full batteries before trying and NEVER leave your camera open and on in cold weather (obviously)
New to your channel, I bought your book as well :) I wanted to ask you a question, if I may? When focusing on a subject in the dark, could I have an LED light on top of something? Like a stack of cans for example etc.
@tresflip Yes of course :) just place the LED wherever you want the focus point to be and have it facing your camera, focus on it, then switch to manual focus so your camera won't try to autofocus again when taking a picture - you are good to go!
@jaber2341 You only need a DSLR camera to make these, unless you were talking about the mirrored and colored images at the end - in that case you need Photoshop. Do it before I kill you.
i subscribed to your channel and downloaded your ebook! very very comprehensive yet casual approach in dealing with such a technical matter! i wish you'd be more inspired so that u wont stop doing this just yet! 8))
@Kfo00793 If you have a huge view-finder or very very good eyes, then yes, go for it! I have just found it easier to just use auto focus though. An even better way would be to use Live-View with the LCD screen (if your camera has one), zoom in all the way on a flashlight laying on the ground so (so you can see it very clearly), then manually focus until it is pin-sharp.
hey what camera did you use to record this video? i mean the pictures are good.

what are good setting. ISO, aperture, and shutter speed for this kind of photography?
RolandoDotCom 1 month ago
Hey mate
I just have a question
How long is the maximum in terms of shutter speed before damaging your reflex?
I mean if you put it in bulb, is 1 min or 2min dangerous for your reflex?
Where is the limit?
Thanks man

Wouldn't it be easier to use manual focus as apposed to having to pose and auto focus?
