I put a turbo Dodge Shadow motor in my omni had to cut the fire wall back for the turbo to fit.

@aten78 ah no chrystler redesign the vw golf/ rabbit and 79 omnis/horizons where powerd with a vw engine go do some reasearch on the omnis and u may also find ull also fine the history of the chrystler 2.2 from its daybute in 1981 to when the 2.2 got redesignd into a 2.5 and also how the 2.2 got more power over the years and how the 3.3 v6s came along and the 2.4 neone engines came about aka the srt4

the chrysler 2.2L was in no way at all a mitsu motor... they only used mitsu turbos on them and the engine was all mopar.

2.2/2.5 L turbo had nothing to do with mitsu only the turbo used from 1988-1994 on the 2.2 and 2.5L turbo 1 engines was mitsu if you want more info messege me

4g63? no, thats a 2.3 chrysler engine...the 4g63 says either "mitsubishi" or "hyundai" on the valve cover; and mounts in the opposite direction

@audiboost26 its a 2.2 or 2.5 turbo yes chrystler had both 2.2 n 2.5 turbo engines back in the 80's and yes they where multi port fuel injected as oposed to the non turbo engines that where tbi fuel injected
