  • Sweet 'stache, guy.

  • Is the installation for these sights on an H&K P2000 the same?

  • @j044 From Bo: "No the H&K P2000 has dovetails front and rear, you can see what that entails by watching the second video: Pistols with front and rear dovetails."

  • Ordered the "big dot" from Midway USA for my Glock 19. The installation was a breeze. This video was helpful as were the easy to follow instructions that came with the set. Rear sight slipped right in with no filing or tapping necessary. Man, I love this setup. Makes getting on target so much faster than the stock sights I had. Also, the Tritium is very bright and really stands out at night. Since my G19 is my primary carry weapon, the XS Big Dot is a great upgrade.

  • @buz263

I ordered my sights this past weekend for my G19. My only concern is centering the rear sight unit. How did you go about doing this? Thanks.

  • @hansaskatoon Since the rear sight slid in so easily, I tightened the set screws a little for some light resistance and just "eyeballed" it for center. Had to do this several times until I was satisfied with the position. You don't have to be exact, just pretty close. Just follow the install instructions for the thread locker and you will do just fine.

  • how do you adjust them if you put all that locking compound on them?

  • the video is at 1.00 gave it five stars and favorite it already (I'll get my meprolights 2morrow,i'm so wired!

    Keep it up!

  • Just got mine today for my Glock 19. Rear sight just slid in real smooth. Extremely easy to install following the instructions.

  • Given that you now have the rear sight effectively glued in place using locking compound, how do you adjust the sight if that is required?

  • thats my question, how would yu adjust after its all lock tighted in place?

  • Just center the rear sight as best as you can in the dovetail and it will be fine. Watch James Yeager's install video to the right. --->

  • He says @ 6:54 to not glue set screws with locker. Basicly you can move it if needed with a punch. It is going to be hard to do however. Just make sure you line up the sights and you will be ok. It is hard to mess up.

  • I had a laptop on my workbench and followed this video step-by-step. Couldn't be easier and the sights are great. Didn't even need to do any filing but had the file ready just in case. The sights were perfect out of the box. Thanks for posting this.

  • @raydog1111 Did you put them on a Glock 19? Im hoping when i get mine in the mail that i wont have to do any filing.

  • Get yourself a lotto ticket because I did put them on a G19. The bad news is the rear Tritium vial died about a week later. I admit that it's possible that I damaged it by tapping it that last little bit like in the video. The good news is XS sent me a replacement without hesitation. I spent several minutes filing that one (didn't want to risk damaging the vial again). I was able to get it all the way in using ONLY finger pressure. It's been 2 months and it still glows like a light bulb.

  • I also should point out that even though I only used finger pressure to get it in fully, the thread locker securely keeps it in place. I've put about 300 rounds through it and performed countless presentations from a leather IWB holster and that rear sight is going nowhere. Big thanks to XS for honoring the warranty like that. My advice: file that sucker if you can't push it in with your fingers.

  • Great info, save me a trip to the gunsmith. My glock shot like crap out of the box.

  • @carlflowers i dont think it was the glock that shot like crap.i think it was the user that shot like crap. i dont think sights have nothing to do with the gun shooting like crap. maybe your shooting technics made your gun shoot like that, think about it =]

  • Nice Video! Thanks.

  • Thanks mine are in the mail.

  • Gotta agree with everyone else, what a helpful video. Great job to the uploader here :) Now I've just gotta order new sights for my G27

  • i love these sights, but their customer service blows, they dont even answer emails. which turned me off to their product.

  • Huh?

XS Sights has the best warranty of any company I have ever dealt with.

Try calling, they'll help you out.

  • nice video, thank you.

  • LOL, is there a requirement to have a big bushy mustache if you're in the gunsmith business? Good video though ;-)

  • that's funny, i know two gunsmiths in a little town in Iowa and they both have bushy mustaches.. i am beginning to think you may be on to something here.. LOL

  • alot of help, nice video thank you.

  • Thanks!

  • thank u that was informative

  • Nice! Thanks!
