@hdryver.. Do you have to do a lot of hands-on work? Like give patients baths and clean after them. Does your job require physical work? I want to go into nursing, but my parents are not allowing me because it involves too much “dirty” work.
Haha. I'm a male nurse. I don't even know what to say in response to your video . . . other than, yeah! great scrubs! As somewhat of an aside: there are so few guy nursing scrubs out there! I feel like we (guys) are ridiculously limited when it comes to different types of scrubs. (Of course, historically, this makes sense, as roughly 90% of nurses are female.)
Have you ever tried Greys Anatomy scrubs...OMG so comfortable. The material is so soft. I love them!!! Also, you said that you are tall and they make tall pants!
@hoghogwild I know!!! They are the best scrubs ever. I find it hard sometimes to even want to wear anything else because they fit so well and fell sooooo soft!!!
Ok, I'm a guy in nursing, and I have a question.....females are told NOT to wear THONGS to work, yet I see all sorts of women wearing them...what's the deal??
@dhide14 - I've never heard of not being allowed to wear thongs, but if they are being exposed when someone bends over, I would find that inappropriate. I have seen that before.
@woodbbq Hi. I think it is personal preference. A lot of nurses wear nike or new balance shoes. Or the clogs are comfy. I loved the crocs, but sometimes they hydroplane and because of that we were banned from wearing them at my hospital. I wear Dansko clogs now and I like those. You might have to try different shoes to see which ones work best for you.
LOL I always wonder if all kinds of crap will land on my face and will i feel all yucky being in the hospital all day and will i have to wash my face (not that I will have to hehe) but just because I will feel yucky. IDK what to expect from working as a nurse. I know in the dental field we always get spit dropplets on us, I always tell my lil patients that im taking their cooties home with me, that makes them giggle=)=)
@2thcr8z Ha ha, but gross about the spit. I hate when patients sneeze or cough in my face. I had a friend that would bring extra shoes to drive home in, put her shoes in the trunk. When she got home she would strip her clothes at the door. Some people are afraid of germs. I don't care. They are everywhere. Just wash your hands often.=)
how do you wear your hair? do you have to wear it up? and also make up, I was wondering if nurses get all glammed up, or is it a waste of time? I wonder about these things hehe, will I be able to wear make up, will I prefer not to, sometimes I wonderf if I will have to wash my face during the shift, etc
@2thcr8z Hey. I wear my hair whatever way it looks best. Sometimes down like in the video and sometimes in a ponytail. You can wear makeup. Some nurses don't wear a lot or any, but a little always looks nice. No,=) you don't have to wash your face at work, unless you want to. Have a nice day.

They let you choose which scrubs you can wear? When I had my hystorectomy, all the nurses wore the same exact scrubs.

@misspinkpunkykat At some hospitals they do require certain colors to be worn.
