Heyy this game is pretty cool, and is very well optimized actually, i have the hd 4670 1 GB DDR3 , intel core i5 750 @ 2.9 ghz quad core, 4 Gb RAM DDR3 1600mhz.., and it runs at 1440x900 everything maxed out with no AA and 8x AF.., around 25-50 fps..., cool game :D

PD: actually , its a quad core optimized game..., if you dont have one, get one , you'll notice the performance increase.. :)

@NenX11 For the most part, yes. But it really just depends on the exact model of your graphics card and what type of RAM you have. Like DDR2, DDR3? DDR3 is best, but it would still run with DDR2. (as long as its 800mhz or faster) Your processor is good. And so is your OS, but 64-bit is way better than 32-bit. So you'll probably be able to play BFBC2 and/or any other current game (Crysis 2 maybe) at a lower resolution (1024x768) with medium settings.

@FourSidedPiston nop your gpu is very weak you need at least a 4650ddr3/4670 ,(5550 gddr5/5570 for the 5 series) for ati to play like in the Video and 9600GT/gt240(this should outperform the 2 Atis) at leats for nvidia.

ANd for a laptod the best gpu right now is the gtx480m but a 4670mobility should be enough and a gt330m for nvidia.

It works well with a 4670 Mobility video card with 1 gb. but its not that smooth....

On a desktop version 4650 should work... cuz the desktop 4670 is a overclocked version.

@Avataryoutuification Look in your BIOS for an option called Advanced Clock Calibration (ACC). Set it to Auto / Enabled. This will normally unlock that fourth core, giving you a quad core. Worked for me, my X 720 is now a X4 II 20 or something :-) Oh, and clocked at 3.5 GHz or so...

The Gen 1 Phenom has other issues, but you can ignore those - especially if you don't use Windows Vista.

I think, if anything, you should save up for a new motherboard. Buy a good quality board that can use all of your other components. The motherboard is one place not to penny pinch. It determines all else.

@Fkfkgk cuz when you are running at 1080p res. there is no need. Images are so large so you don't need something like AA to decrease your fps. Unless you play on a smaller screen... use AA. Since I have a 24" I always take resolution to the max before caring about other settings.

@dafalahat Yeah, hey man, does the 4670 run well on your generic? Mines generic as well, just 27 amps on the 2 12 volt railing in total ( 13 a and 14 a) and is 500 watts, some chinese company called CIT and came with a case.

Consider I think A more powerful cpu ( phenom x 3) uses 95 w and a standered mobo like 20 watts? and a sata hdd 7200 rpm I think. 2gb ram corsair 800 mhz, I only regret is goddamn crappy psu. If Only i researched more on it before!

on higher settings, maybe not full blown maxx with 16xQaa and full aniso filtering, but higher settings with that set up

I got the game yesterday and I played it on this resolution but with 8xAF and 2xAA on this rig:

amd X2 dual-core 7750 at 3.0GHz

sapphire ati radeon hd4670

4 GB Ram

320GB hard drive

500w power supply,

and all this without any lagging! I was wondering how to see how many fps i get but i couldn't figure it out. I guess i'm a n00b :) so if someone could tell me i would be gratheful

C:\users>name>My doc.>BFBC2> and open settings.cfg then find and change

DxVersion=10 or 11 or 9 have nace gameplay and btw
