@900transformers Beilive it or not they do sell grenades here in Colorado. Only at army surplus though. but what they do is to make it legal they drain half the innards and then by law they can sell them. though its not a great store so expect a 3/4 filled grenade :D

i like how you went into the non-weapon items. most videos on this subject only talk about swords and guns and stuff. i would reccommend adding a 9mm into your selection of sidearms though for the reason that the US military's standard sidearm is a 9mm and therefore there would be tons of 9mm ammo laying around after the end of the world. you could always just pick up any 9mm that was lying around since guns and ammo tend to be together, but i wouldn't rely on a gun that was laying around

A carbon steel knife can serve as a striker to use with flint and charcloth. Here in VA, flint is abundant, so if I should need to, I'll just make some charcloth and use that method of fire making.

i don't know if you're gonna read this or not, but overall, very nice choice of weapons, i've fired some of these weapons(not the TTR though) and i know that both handguns and the ak is very reliable. However, have you ever though about what would happen if you were to ever run out of ammo? .40 and 7.62x39 is very hard to find. i would recommend maybe a gun with more common ammunition such as 9mm or pretty much any NATO rounds. Tell me what you think about this idea, id love to hear it.

A 30/06 bolt action can be a great hunting rifle, target rifle, and formidable weapon.
Never focus on trying to get a gun in a non legal way!! Hopefully you have a responsible adult who can help you learn safe handling and operation of firearms. 30/06 can be rather large rifles w/ a good amount of recoil for a young person.

I'm somewhat shocked. If I could only have one gun in a survival situation it would be a shotgun. I would be going great lengths to avoid confrontation with zombies but if and when I did need to engage I know I could rely on a trusty old boomstick.

Coming with someone who has a military and outdoorsman backround, you have too much stuff. It looks nice and dandy now, but when you have to pack it all up and cover ground fast/ run from zombies, your over burdened. you dont need a few guns, let alone an ak47 with a 70 round drum, plus you cant carry alot of 7.62 ammo, its too heavy. think basics
Gun,water/purifier,non perishable goods,knife,flint, warmth, first aid kit. thats it
What about paper maps, I know they fell by the wayside because of GPS (along with newspapers and books :) but the satellites may not work after the fall of civilization, so the gps might not work, so I think it would be a good idea to have printed maps.
@GunznGear Totally agree, in my opinion when the SHTF, and civilization colapses we might revert back to like the fronter times, so we might not have electricity, gas (I may be wrong here, but doesn't gasoline become an in-effective fuel after sometime?), running water and other modern conviniences we take for granted and we might have to live like our forefathers. That's a really nice AK. I couldn't tell what it was until I got a good look at it. I think the only things my better half will hump out are her cell phone and teacup Pomeranians... I'd even have to carry the toilet paper. :-)

I'm somewhat shocked. If I could only have one gun in a survival situation it would be a shotgun. I would be going great lengths to avoid confrontation with zombies but if and when I did need to engage I know I could rely on a trusty old boomstick.

Coming with someone who has a military and outdoorsman backround, you have too much stuff. It looks nice and dandy now, but when you have to pack it all up and cover ground fast/ run from zombies, your over burdened. you dont need a few guns, let alone an ak47 with a 70 round drum, plus you cant carry alot of 7.62 ammo, its too heavy. think basics
Gun,water/purifier,non perishable goods,knife,flint, warmth, first aid kit. thats it
now you have all your basics needs plus mobility

What about paper maps, I know they fell by the wayside because of GPS (along with newspapers and books :) but the satellites may not work after the fall of civilization, so the gps might not work, so I think it would be a good idea to have printed maps.

@GunznGear Totally agree, in my opinion when the SHTF, and civilization colapses we might revert back to like the fronter times, so we might not have electricity, gas (I may be wrong here, but doesn't gasoline become an in-effective fuel after sometime?), running water and other modern conviniences we take for granted and we might have to live like our forefathers. We need to think about things like that.
