omg i want to be as good as u but i started the cello to late im fourteen i bet u started when u where a todler well maybe if i really try it will take me while but hopfuly i'll end up as good as u but i just want to let u know that ur my inspiration.
and another thing i think ur better then yo-yo-ma just saying
I disagree that she is more suited to rock. I do get the impression she was distracted most noticeably at the start. Who wouldn't be with the long winded knuckle head introduction and dog running around. I think in the other vid from this session the dog throws up off camera. Arggh
@ThisIsIrony3 "Extremely" is a little melodramatic, don't you think? Sure there were a few little wisps of extra sound here and there, but I would shudder to listen to an absolutely "perfect" performance.
@ThisIsIrony3 I have to agree. I got pointed to a vid of her that included part of Shostakovich--and that was badly out of tune, so I went looking for more performances to see if it was just isolated. Lovely girl, expressive and interesting rendition. Easy to "see" why she's getting so much attention. ;-)
I've been playing for 17 years. she has done a wonderful job... i dont how long or how good you are, the only way ANYBODY can play ANY piece without any mistakes is if they are a robot. perfect recordings have been remastered by sound engineers... hearing mistakes is what makes listening to live music awesome! it reminds us that the performer is human!
To me this is the most exquisitely beautiful piece of music there is. When I hear it I feel as though someone/thing is speaking to me, that beauty has been given a voice.
i have been a cellist for 7 yrs, a pianist for 4 yrs, a violinist and bassist for 3 yrs each. I have developed a fairly good ear for those kind of things
Ur amazing. I hope to adopt the cello as my insrtument i bought a violin and said what the hay ill learn to play haha the rhymed... but um my fingers and all tht too fat soo cello looking good right about now.. my violin was cheap american made... 60 bucks online and its black ahaha... but just saying hay i hope all continues to go well ttyl

@MajiiTesting There was a squeak, it wasn't the cello. It was something in the audience.
