Gord could make it sound just like the album if he wanted but what is the point? He wants to put on a show and change things up. Seeing them live is just incredible.
I'm a HUGE classic rock fan. But guys Josh is right, vocally they aren't as good live. Performance wise sure they may be a blast to go and see. But on the ears, clearly not as good live.
Well, it's certainly not as good as their studio version, but you'll seldom find a band that can pull off their 'best' material without someone like Mutt Lang to cover their asses (see Def Leppard post Pyromania). I think another part of the issues with this clip is the sound board guys are high, or not high enough, and I suspect there is some serious chemical recreation going on...

I agree. This is the first video I've seen of the Hip live, and it is a bit of a shock to hear his voice like this, but they are still great. All bands have 2 sounds, a studio sound an a live sound.

I have seen the hip live 3 times, and every time it was an amazing experience. They are much better live then on any album.
