I'm from the UK, ive only been to one NHL game and that was the rangers vs the penguins (rangers won 4-1 or 5-1 it was first week or two of january 2009) It was kick ass but in penalties are you expected to score, I know in soccer you are expected to score more than you miss but considering the size of the goal and size of the keeper in NHL it seems a lot harder.

Most NHL teams have like a 13% success rate on the power play, so when you think about it they score once out of like every 10 times a guy is in the box.
