How using a Sony Bloggie MHS-PM5 as a web cam? Any suggestions?

hey im using my sony handycam as a webcam its works on skype but after 15 to 20 in use my camcorder goes into some display mode and starts showing what the camera can do. how can i stop it from doing that?

I downloaded Orangeware's WebCamDV software full version, paid my 20 bucks and got my serial number, but the "trial version" logo won't go away! The program also "times out" as if it still is the trial version.I find no option in the "orangeware" folder to convert to full product, and no zip files that I can find.

I try Orangware's "support" Email and it keeps getting returned.Phone numbers for the compnay are either dis-connected ..........INTERESTING COMMENT THET I FOUND.

@3005igorkaren could you send me a private message, since you can't put URL's in the comments. I'd like the URL from which you purchased the WebCamDV software. I searched for it but all the sites I found were A) Only downloading the trial version or B) The website did not look "reputable" to me. I never actually found orangeware's own website where they were selling the software.

Under Windows 7 (and prob other versions as well) this software doesn't switch to full package when you pay.

1. Go into Control Panel and completely uninstall the programme and then Reboot.

2. Once running again re-launch the installer.

3. Click purchase.

4. Press ALT key and then click the REINSTALL button that appears.

5. Follow the instruction to enter Order Number and Email Address.

6. Click Submit.

The software will reinstall as the FULL version........THE ANSWER.

@WakkoXtreme He's saying a throw away camera, because if you buy a 600-800$ camera you can expect that thing to last a long time, as opposed to a 100$ camera that'll prolly fail after a few years. You get what you pay for.

I havea a firewire cable but there is no port that fits the wire and i can't find any adaptars for my camera is is very strange it is the smaller camera plug its a jvc cam any ways i can plug my cam in without fire wire.

you need to buy a firewire card, you can get them for a a few bucks on ebay
