  • @Augustus1225 just because some people didn't realize she had AIDS virus does not mean thy are simple minded, or are lacking an education. It was something that could have easily slipped the mind when you watch the movie at a young age and never bother to think about it logistically. I never caught on until I knew about the AIDS virus, and then I was like... Wait a minute.... Haha! So really just go screw yourself for telling people they are dumb.

  • hahaha at 0:48 it is skinny Rick Ruben

  • my jenney was there for me even if she was in the big pie in the sky :-)

  • Gah, girls like Jenny make me so angry --> so selfish, and arrogant. But, such forgiving, and compassionate people like Forrest Gump give me hope in humanity.

  • @famousamos - well, you are clearly too simple-minded understand the plot and point of the story. She wasn't selfish. She was wounded. It wasn't Forrest she didn't love. It was herself.

  • So who had the aids that made jenny die was it forest?

  • @sibleyinthehouse no she picked it up after she left Forrest that one night they made love and she lived by herself for a while

  • @sibleyinthehouse - are you as big of an idiot as this statement makes you appear? Did you watch the movie? Do you know what AIDS is and how you contract it? She was an intravenous drug user using dirty needles, not to mention she had went through many sex partners in communes. I know it's hard to pretend to have any education, but try really hard in the future.

  • @Augustus1225 Wait she had AIDS? Damn I guess you really miss a lot when you watch movies as an 8 year old.

  • Jenny's a bitch...

  • this is the best movie ever it has jusst enough of everything people like in it like a wartime/football/romance/ well just about a lot of stuff in it and it proves you can do great things even if you have low intelegence i watched this movie like 35 times and it never gets old thumbs up if you agree

  • I love Forrest for his child-like wonder-something we almost seem to lose as we get older-and the fact that his decency and compassion comes before his intelligence..

  • my dad looks like forrest :P

  • my name is mark tanner. my future sons name? forrest gump tanner.

  • Ok is this film based on an actual true story or is it fiction?

  • forrest gump is the most inspirational movie aver. ur father's a genius.

  • its so sad! :(

  • you were :'(

  • NOT LIKE THIS

  • you are correct..Forrest Gump is in my opinion the best movie of the past 25 years and this is the best scene in the movie...best line "maybe it's a little of both"

  • I sure wish dying wasn't a part of life either!

  • Why do you cry?

  • @LTG22 Who knows mate just hits something inside you, reminds your only mortal and when things will chnge i cried!! and im 28 years old!!

  • @BROOL23 Sorry man, I was quoting T-2

  • this is the saddest.

    "You were."

  • I am a 19 year old guy and this scene makes me cry

  • you stopped it like 3 seconds before the good part..its so sad when he says "and he's so smart jenny" it made me cry last time i watched it

  • You were <3

  • Forrest is what we want Amerika to be. Not perfect but full of hope and the feeling that we all can achieve anything if we just believe in ourselves.

  • @titiaatje Amerika?

  • Comment removed

  • We love you Forrest.

  • Lol, nice.

What was the background music used, called?

If you can tell me, thanks. :)

  • @7DrPhysics

    its called "where heaven ends"

  • Best movie ever

  • The dislikes are from people who misclicked because their eyes were filled with tears and they couldn't see the like button well.

  • por esta escena se merece todos los premios, cuando le dice que la extraña es el momento cumbre en la interpretación de Tom Hanks, el mejor actor de los 90's

  • one of the best movies ever

  • I cry so hard at this scene every time. EVERY TIME.

  • My father told me once, if everyone was Forrest Gump, the world would be perfect ^__^

  • @ThatPokeyGuy Only if every woman was Jenny :/

  • @PuReHoTeNeRgY that would be bad

  • @ThatPokeyGuy but we would get nothing done.

  • @gyroknot Disagree. We wouldn't have much technology, but we'd be a bunch of loyal, hard workers. We'd still have some semblance of civilization.

  • @Alternamaton thats true. but, we would need some people to fast-track the advancement of the human race.

  • @ThatPokeyGuy so did my dad

  • Moma always said dyn’ was a part of life.I sure wish it wasn’t.Little Forrest,he’s doing just fine.About to start school again soon.I make his breakfast, lunch, and dinner very day.I make sure he combs his hair and brushes his teeth every day.Teaching him how to play ping-pong. He’s really good.We fish a lot. And every night, we read a book. He’s so smart,Jenny. You’d be so proud of him. I am.He, uh, wrote a letter, and he says I can’t read it. I’m not supposed to,so I’ll just leave it here for you.

  • my mamma always said.....

  • Tom Hanks the best actor in the world if it weren't for him we wouldn't Have Saving Private Ryan Or Forrest Gump Thumbs up if u agree

  • thumbs up if Forest Gump is your favorite movie (:

  • @haydeepepe123 Double and triple thumbs up. Til this day its still the best movie ever in the history of movies!!!!!

Oh yeah and fuck Jenny!!!!! Always doing forrest wrong and up and leaving his ass. Forrest is the man...Bubba too!!!!

  • @haydeepepe123 Forrest*

  • @Nab314 yup! haha typo

  • This ranks as the greatest film I have ever seen.

    An absolute masterpiece.

  • I wish I could be like Forrest... loyal, courageous, honest....

  • FOREST GUMP FOR WORLD LEADER !

  • I've never cried at a film before, I have never felt so emotional until seeing Forrest Gump. I weeped a bit in the closing stages of the film, but it made me feel human, and that is a good feeling.

  • this part gets me every time

  • Damn... Even in tragedy , we humans can be so great. Forest is a symbol of that showing the sacrifices we make daily and nobody even talks about it. Like the child who was thrown out of the car and lived.. I am so much in tears. Damn this Hank , he plays too good. Sometimes if actors play too good they should not be allowed to play! It just blows your mind .

  • The grave scene always gets me. My best friend passed away when I was just 12 in a car crash. We were in the car, and we were on the freeway. It was January, and there was ice on the road, and his mom lost control of the car. It spun around, and there was a tree swerving towards me, and he pushed me out of the way. I flew out of the car and was found 30 feet away, but the doctors say if he hadn't done that I'd be dead.

He died in the ambulance on the way holding my hand.

  • @Lovethepeacegirl98, this is so sad and powerful, i feel your pain, i also lost my brother in a mine accident 5 years ago, it was the most painfull part of my life..

  • @mrigoharder I'm srry for your loss. What I was going to put but I couldn't because I ran out of room was that his last words were that he loved me.

  • Forrest Gump was an amazing movie!!! :D

  • Its just so sad. How he never met His Father, His Mother died, The love of his life Died, His good friend Bubba Died.

  • Brings me to tears,everytime ;)

  • i cried

  • "Homie, you hustlin backwards if you chasin a bitch, stupid, chase the paper, they come with the shit"

  • Who are these three DISLIKES ?????

  • Why is he telling someone who is alive where he buried them?

  • Best scene? I disagree...The whole movie was the BEST!

  • March 22, 1982 was a Monday...

  • a show that love comes to the most simple minded despite what you see on jeremy kyle

  • Yeah, best scene in film history

  • "Mama always said, dying was a part of life. I sure wish it wasn't."

  • the bitch takes advantage of him, that's what i got from the scene.

  • @203207ab hahaha u understand the female mentality better than anyone else...

  • @shubroto81 thank you.

  • Comment removed

  • can anyone tell me what she dies of?? really appreaciate it thanks

  • @rickthedick1993 An STD, if I remember correctly.

  • @rickthedick1993 She dies of AIDS, she dies in '87. She says in the movie that she has some new disease that the doctors didn't know too much about, speaking to the 1980's discovery of HIV and AIDS.

  • @rickthedick1993 It's never really said but the audience is made to assume that she died from AIDS.

  • Think about this: All the people Forrest lost, he only ever cried for Jenny.

  • goosebumps

  • Forrest had no best scene... the all best scene is the entire movie ! (Sorry for my bad English.. French guy.)

  • This is definitely not the best scene. It's depressing.... and now I feel like crying

  • he looked just like my dad when he was that age!

  • This is so beautiful, how he describes it ... i'm a landscape photographer so i know how beautiful this scene truly is xoxo

  • @CrazySaulaFan He describe it so well that pretty much everyone understand how truly beautiful this scene is.

  • @iszalgocomin yeah just saying i appeciate this scene because of my job you getting me!!!

  • Foresst did it all

  • You cut out the best bit

  • 3 people tried to chase down Forrest Gump with a car and failed.

  • And, I'm crying.

  • 3 people weren't there

  • omg the most tragic and best romance movies r forest gump and Titanic i love em

  • I consider myself a pretty tough guy, but I cry like a baby every single time I watch this scene...Not gonna lie bout it....Epic!

  • he may of been a simple man, but he had the experience and achievements that some of us could only wish for.

  • The lake the mountain the desert the sea, this guy just had one beautiful heck of a life.

  • 3 people have no idea what a good scene to a good movie is if it punched them in the nose.

  • kimmismiles sent me here

  • I always thought this scene to be the most beautiful, not because of the sadness of jenny passing away; but what Forrest truly appreciated in his accomplishments. He didn't care for fame or fortune, he cared about the little things in life. He went through hell in Vietnam, but would remember the stars at night, he struggled with his shrimping business but would gaze at the sunset.

  • LOVE this scene. just reminds me of how beautiful things are and how pure someone can be. i loved how the person he loved the most was someone who didn't love themselves, and how this love was able to purify her. theres so much to talk about. great movie always makes me feel like i should be a great person

  • I hate jenny, all that she did is leaving forrest...every time... fck jenny why!? have you got any reason? no u r just simply stupid...

  • @TheLudmi Ya. She reminds me of many stupid girls and women today. Like when they have the perfect guy around them but they go for the asshole who nearly kills them or REALLY selfish ones who only date guys for material things.

  • @xBloodXGusherx But in the case of Jenny, she was abused by her father. So she couldn't trust any man during her life, she was afraid to settle down with a man, even Forrest. She finally found the therapy with Forrest by realizing he was able to love her without violence like her previous boyfriends. Before to pass away. That's why i love her.He saved her and she made him

  • @xBloodXGusherx amen to that brother, ain't that so fucked up?

  • @xBloodXGusherx you got to remember forrest gump was a retard.....would you marry a retard with the possibility of having no insightful conversations for the rest of your life and not being intellectually challenged by your spouse

  • @cvsporn

Gump had more heart and soul that it would take a couple life times to understand him. That outweighs whatever semi intellectual conversation you might have with a spouse.

  • @xBloodXGusherx I agree and its why good men suffer so much because we want to make a differance and they would rather be hurt which is sad

  • @TheLudmi She is not stupid. Jenny has a very bad childhood, which really affects a person. She just wanted to escape from everything. Even though Forrest treated Jenny amazing, after what her father has done to her, it hard to trust anyone especially a guy.

  • In my humble opinion, this is the best movie ever made. Just like the comment above, there's so much more to this movie than meets the eye. Life lessons, friendship, remaining a good soul in spite of all the bad in the world. Ah, Forrest Gump :)

  • @bamabelle327 That's was a great comment! I'm tottaly agree with u bamabelle. I always say the same to my friends. There's no movie better.

  • @emizeppelin Totally agree. I actually judge people who can't appreciate this movie, lol.

  • @bamabelle327 I completely agree with you! I have watched it...may be over 200 times and year after year as i grew up i've always found something new. At first it was the story and the actors' play, then the hidden feelings, the written between the lines, the facts in the history that Forrest was through, the world through his eyes(so simple and clear) and as i begun making photographs i found out how beautiful is this movie shot, in a much photographic way...Thank you,Robert Zemeckis!

  • people go to inema for emotions ! ------ this film is an cinematic masterpice ! an work of art ! a experience for the heart, mind and soul ! pure magic !

  • Liutendant Dan Ice cream!

  • Ahh it's cut off, I want to see the rest from this scene!!

  • agreed... it's certainly one of the best scenes ever. he loved her in spite of her mistakes. in his eyes she was always the little girl who let him, the most shunned child in school, not only sit beside her on the bus, but be her friend. i wish everyone in this world was fortunate enough to have someone love them like that.

  • @commandergree1231 your comment made me laugh !!

  • MANLY TEARS.

  • You know, for a dumb man he is very wise.

  • @Akshole

I think it was because of his (ahem) 'dumbness' that he was actually very intelligent. He didn't bother to have his mind go into any innuendos or sinful or just plain unpleasant things, and instead set his mind on the real important things in his life, like his friends and mother, learning from what they teach him, and how he followed his heart. Because of this, and you can take this metaphorically or literally, he was probably the most intelligent out of everyone in the movie.

  • @Maverickslayer744 That was very insightful Maverickslayer, sorry about using 'dumb' in my comment. The word to describe him is probably 'simple and wise'.

  • @Akshole

Ah, don't worry about it. I probably would have used the same word if this video didn't get me thinking on the matter. But yeah, thing is I really sympathize with people like Gump, as you said, 'simple and wise'. They can have a grasp at life at times, and are very innocent, yet most people today always bring them down, thinking that they are mess-ups. They even use crude words to describe them such as (ahem) 'retard.' I'm sorry, but that just gets under my skin.

  • @Maverickslayer744 Actually I'd rather be like him than anybody else. :-)

  • @Akshole

That's what I'm saying. Despite the hardships Gump faced in life, I envy him for his ability to hold onto innocence and to not let the world bring him down. If more people were like Gump, I honestly think the world would be a better, more understandable place.

  • @Maverickslayer744 So true.

  • Well Jenny, maybe you dind't die if you dindt use weed, crack, speed, cocaine, and heroin. Just sayin'.

  • @MethshockFilms Weed is harmless for people

  • @Squeglee It depends on the persons chemical build, It is harmless if grown right but because it is illegal people are forced to grow it with chemicals which make it more potent without being clinically tested on humans, that's why Amsterdam is great its all legal so growers have the peace & confidence 2 grow & test the produce before releasing it to the masses. In Amsterdam most growers run straight water through the pumps for 2 weeks 2 flush out any chemicals before releasing it to the public.

  • @MethshockFilms All the sex with random strangers didn't help either

  • Three people have no hearts.

  • 0:44 that landscape is so amazing

and of course the scene is emotional to

  • i cried when i found out Jenny died of cancer

  • I CRIED MY ASS OFF!!!!!!

  • always cry when i watch this scene......i must say Forrest Gump this the best movie ever.....

  • Its unbelievable how can dubbing influences your feelings from some movie. In czech dubbing is Forrests voice so intelligent. And when I saw this...wow. His voice in real is so cute, naive and a little stupid...Its like to see some absolutely different movie...

  • I couldn't tell where Heaven started and the Earth Began

  • kushapotamus is now crying like a little bitch...

  • "I wish I could have been there with you.

    You were."

Makes me tear up every damn time!

  • Forrest Gump, the symbol for sympathic idioty and hero and role model for a whole generation !

A key film of the brainwash industry.

That's the idiots they want - the normal guys are just bad.

  • I was thinking of this scene yesterday

    :')

  • @BaltFret Y'know, I was thinking the same thing...only make mine with bratwurst.

  • @moproducer eh... what??? :D what do you want to do with your sausage? :D

  • @BaltFret Eine kleine grilling...

  • @moproducer Your German is quite difficult... It makes no sense :D

  • @moproducer OK...pore less vouz frankoiz. And don't tell me you don't understand, Nazi.

  • =:(::

  • why did he mention non-vietnam scenes when the question was about vietnam?
