  • Awesome lift, but I still think he needs a haircut to look more macho :P

  • lol I love it

  • can you say thor

  • HE-MAN

  • awesome!

  • He's gotta be #1 94kg in the U.S. in the next year or two.

  • I believe 3rd place in the Beijing Games went to Khadjimourad Akkayev who C&Jed 217. Jared is young and has a lot of time left in front of him. Maybe this Olympics he can bring a medal back home. He's added 9kg to his Jerk in less than a year and looks more jacked.

  • @ptarleton he will have to be the number one us male to make the team, good luck

  • @ptarleton silly american's thinking they can get medal in the Olympics because of training video. If an american get's a medal at the olympic hell will freeze over.

  • @MultiTrollHunter well of course. everywhere you look people are talking about pat mendes getting the gold. he would be an acceptional lifter if he weighed around 62 kg even so he would have to complete a lift to be able to win anything.

  • @Travisk100 haha Pat Mendes is funny.... claims "unofficial" World Record Snatch with 207kg snatch then fails to snatch 177 in Paris..... Silly Americans should spend less time making videos and breaking "unofficial" world records.

  • @MultiTrollHunter Haha yeah, Behdad Salimi is only a year older or something and that guy has potential! I reckon next olympics will be VERY interesting. Perhaps new records in the snatch and C&J?

  • @jondrewE Salimi is younger than Mendes and I believe broke the WR in Snatch in Paris, already. Mendes might be A-group material one day, but he's not close right now.

  • @EndlersaurusRex Yeah I was meaning Mendes has a long way to go to be competitive against the likes of Salimi. Mikhail Koklyaev is going to the olympics this year too?

  • @jondrewE I'm not sure. Russia has so many people that are good. Koklyaev is strong and could possible pull a medal, but so could other Russians.

  • @MultiTrollHunter thats life when youre off-cycle

  • @MultiTrollHunter

Why are you always so concerned with what Americans are doing in Olympic weightlifting? We all know that on an international level we have a lot of room for improvement. There are multiple factors involved in this poor performance, which I don't feel the need to list.

I see you around bashing Mendes and other American lifters pretty regularly and I'd just like to know where all of this anger stems from.

  • @Grumpus3 I don't hate on american wieghtlifters. I hate on the deluded fools in comment sections who actualy believe these people are going to win olympic medals. These exceptional athletes should be lucky to even get to the olympics. That will be the pinnacle of their career, simply qualifying.

  • @MultiTrollHunter still got the lift didnt he?

  • @MultiTrollHunter haha maybe if all of Europe and Asia forget to show up? haha even then there will be others that are better i'm sure!

  • @MultiTrollHunter Or you know, we could just rediscover the training methods we had a generation back that netted us a few medals.

  • @MultiTrollHunter i hate the fact that youre kind of right. dont forget about pat mendes though

  • @magicapricot you mean the superheavy who bombed out with a 205kg Clean + Jerk in the worlds? What about him?

  • @MultiTrollHunter I love how all of your comments end with "silly Americans." When you can snatch 177 and even deadlift 205kg then you can talk shit about Mendes. Keep trolling.

  • @RandomStevie the inability to accept criticism is the sign of a weak and arrogant individual. I was merely stating facts. If you cannot handle them then please continue to bury your head in the sand and insult me.

  • @MultiTrollHunter The inability to accept a constant flow of criticism is simply a sign of being human. And I will do just that, sir.

  • @MultiTrollHunter stating facts? but conveniently missing out important elements. Pat was and still is suffering from injuries - he did 207 in his prime. let me snap some of yo shit up and than ask you to snatch your pr?

  • @bustagh0st "you cannot beat the subject in question therefore any negative statements about said subject from you are automatically invalid" is the kind of logical fallacy a 5 year old comes out with. I can't run faster than Tyson Gay but that doesn't mean that i cannot state with certainty that he never has and never will win the gold medal for the 100m in the olympics.

  • @MultiTrollHunter I'm not suggesting it should win an argument, merely pointing out the aura of jealousy reeking of you. Your logic is stating because someone is injured or phycologically hindered they can't compete at a world record stage at any point in time. Stop taking lifts out of context, 207 was a perfect lift in perfect conditions. Conditions like these probably happen twice a year, they aren't called PR's because you can hit them any day of the week.

  • @bustagh0st That was a very long winded way of coming out with what was esentially the classic "you're just a hater" arguement. Yet another logical fallacy. I am willing to debate with you but not if you continue to throw out pre-pubescent style arguements at me. It's weak.

  • @MultiTrollHunter long winded? I guess you didn't read it, because i'm clearly saying your taking facts out of context to prove somehow Pat mendes is weak. I could take any of your athletes and say at some point in time they couldn't snatch the bar - The reason they are called PR's is because they are landmarks reached, not everyday occurances. Pat has his good days and bad days and you're getting confused between consistensy issues and raw strength he posses'.

  • @bustagh0st MY point was that Pat Mendes (and any other American lifter for that matter) is nowhere near Olympic medal standard for the 105+ category. Despite numerous deluded fools claiming he is going to win gold for America. If you deny this fact then you are straight up deluded.

  • @MultiTrollHunter I agree with you... Pat has alot of potential and lots of people have over exaggerated this. But a 207kg snatch at his age is no mean feat and he deserves some respect for that even if he has consistency issues.

  • @MultiTrollHunter he will one day with the amount of potential he has. Not in 2012 or 2016 but one day
