I recently purchased a HP Mini 210-2355DX and I wanted to update my RAM to make my netbook go faster. I went to Geek Squad at my Best Buy and they said that they don't carry any RAM in the store so they told me to get it online. The only problem is, I'm a total novice with computers so I have no clue what kind of RAM I need to order. I really need some advice with this.

Just finished my RAM upgrade, almost exactly as you showed. My only problem was that I didn't forward the RAM enough and got a blank screen. I had to remove the RAM, re-align it and push it into position while angled until I heard a snap and then lowered it into its final position. Thanks for your help.

@lhequatro This is a NETBOOK!! Not a NOTEBOOK!! It is desgined for simple daily tasks, not high end games of any kind, or even any low end really. It is a simple design for maximum connectivity while on the go. This video about "removing the top cover and keyboard" to get to the hard drive is a load of crap. I just upgraded the hard drive on mine with nothing but a small phillips to change the drive caddy from one to the other. I went from 250 to 500 cause no one had a 750 near me.

@devilishmode That is because your netbook, just like mine, has an intel atom processor. Netbooks are produced to be companions to your desktop or another less portable laptop, for email and web. Not really made for watching videos in that high of definition. So basically, your issue is not a RAM problem, it is a processor problem.

the hard drive is under & attached to the stcker.

the sticker is the only thing holding in the hard drive.

that's what the tabs are for, pull them & remove the hard drive no screws.

Thanks this saved me from losing all my data!

I Just took mine apart to get data off the hard drive. Do you really need to unscrew the keyboard and take apart the shell? I think all you have to do is pull the two Black Plastic Tape Tabs up and it pulls the hard drive out. I took the whole thing apart and am realizing that taking it all apart might not have been necessary.

yea thas true.. well im going to find out tommorow because i purchased 2gb kingston pc 6400 800mhz ram from hp ...ps the guy i called intially at hp tech support said it only supports 1 gb ,, then he later called back and told me he ggave me wrong info and that the laptops can be upgraded to 2gb ..thas when he sold me the ram i should rcieve it febuarary 4.. i will put this mystery to and end

I agree with you i called back and the held firm that 1 gb was the supported limit...but by then i had already place the order .. i felt that maybe the info they were lookin at was old information ..so i updated my bios via the hp support site untill tommorow ill know for sure..because wndows 7 is capable of supporting 2gb of ram .. so its either the chipset architecture or the bios firmware which has the 1gb limit ill kno 4 sure 2 morro.
