Wrong. Civilian GPS devices must be limited to 60,000 feet; but military devices can operate at much higher altitudes. ICBM's use GPS, and they leave the atmosphere before their reentry vehicles come back to earth, so you need to do YOUR homework.

This is not because it's not possible for GPS to work at an altitude higher than this, but simply because the GPS companies are limited to these parameters by the government. If they weren't, civilian GPS systems could easily be used in the creation of ICBM's or other types of high altitude weapons.
