I think that the loss of big retailers and manufacturers, shippers etc, will not be filled by smaller business, because lack of funding and paralysis will prevent them from capital costs needed to start up. This is really bad news. More like Peak Oil depressionary stuff. Without rich angels (perhaps the manipulative folks) sending funding down, there will be not much left but soup lines. As large businesses fail, we'll see government cutbacks and loss of support networks as well.
