I have heard that things are not going too well, as fuel economy is not what they were expecting.
From what I have read it seems that they are even considering whether the best option would be to bring back trolley buses (trolley coaches as known in Toronto).
To my thinking this would be the optimal solution. Then the buses will be as clean & environmentally friendly as the streetcars!
Looks like a nicely planned service.

Where have these trolleybuses finished, since Basel has no more trolley lines?

@SlobusNS
Some are in eastern Europe, I forget exactly where - in Bulgaria, I think. But maybe only 7 of them. As for the rest, I do not know.

I've seen quite a few tramcar and tube doors close like that, though, just not buses.

yes, it is unsual for a bus... but this bus is more like a tram, as the driver sits in a fully enclosed cab just like a tram and a train.

Thanks.
The TTC (Toronto) converted all their CNG buses to diesel last year.
Now they're experimenting with hybrid diesel buses.
Hope they don't screw up again.
