  • Why can't you breed two short legged Dexters? Thanks for posting the video!

  • im in flroida, i have my dexters as well as a small heard of Florida cracker cattle, And i agree the dexters are very docile and i like the fact that you do not need hundreds of acres

  • Are the Dexters smaller than the Kerry?

  • @Lisnageeragh To be honest I don't know alot about Kerry cattle, but from their website it states Kerry cattle are a little taller and slimmer than a Dexter, but generally considered to be related to the Dexter. Dexter is an ideal cow to cross with Kerry bulls since many long-legged Dexters look very much like Kerries. The one knock I noticed on the Kerry is that they are presently fewer than a hundred purebred Kerry cattle in the US and Canada making them hard to find.

  • beautiful cattle!! i have a herd of 20 dexters, my bull is a dun color i love the ease of maintaing them and the qauilty of meat they produce

  • @bulldog32220 One of the main reason I like the Dexters is how docile they are, and as a general rule of thumb you can keep 2 per acre compared to 1 full size cow. Where are you located?

  • Glad you pointed me to the video, I have heard of "Dexter" but never seen them up close. Thanks for the information!

  • Very nice! They seem like neat animals...

  • really nice, pickin up cow/calf combo and a bull next week for small place here in Birch Run Michigan.

  • Nice herd of Dexters you have there...keep it up!!
