@WestlakeSig Do you get cursed out at the academy cause im a 16 year old cadet at a volunteer dpt and I do if I screw up .lol

You know, I have never seen any of the instructors go so far as to curse out a cadet. It's done more in a military style that, yes, can be embarrassing or bring you down, but I have never seen a situation where anyone's been called out of their name. For the most part, most cadets say, that the browbeating you take makes you a better firefighter in the long run!

Yes sir! im one of those people. just got my emt cert , and looking for an academy in my neck of the woods.

This academy's been away for two, almost three years. Most of that time was because they changed the attached college they dealt with in terms of academic credits. Having it back will be great for everyone hoping to get a leg-up for going into this profession.

i heard this academy will be back in 2011.
