  • How about having a Engineer that knows what he is doing

  • ....If the bucket is geting so hot and swallowed by flames, I think its time to pack up and place the rig on a different exposure... juss saying....

  • lucky theres an override switch

  • Our E-One was plumbed with sprinklers on the exterior of the truck in case it ever became an exposure....a good thing to have for just these types of situations.

  • Doesn't seem to be a high experience/training level with this department.

  • all around cluster fuc&! everybody watch this and know what NOT to do!

  • the tower never moved tho. i saw the engine moving but not the tower, unless i missed something

  • @cstoner15 That was what looked to be a pump truck moving between the camera and the other truck

  • Why the hell is truck 50 always in trouble?

  • you can turn off the adjusting system to a ladder truck which can allow you to drive it with the ladder or outriggers up, if it was a cheaper spec it may not even have the fuctions to auto audjust

  • Whos the cause of global warming now eh ?

  • what the hell is that fire man in the back spraying water at.... SPRAY IT AT THE FIRE!!!!

  • @nfig09 hes spraying the bucket of the firetruck, in an attempt to cool down the firefighter in it

  • Every heard of up wind up hill....come on, one of the first things tought in fire school.....

  • @briant179 You werent there. so dont criticize to harshly. For all you know, there was light smoke on the opposite end of building upon arrival. And as far as "they taught against in fire school", you cant tell me that you dont do something against what school taught at almost every call. We all do,school teaches in best case scenarios,we as firefighters have to take that basis and adapt it

  • whare is the driver...someone has to b acountable for the rig and get it the fux out the way lol

  • that was huge some one could of been hurt or come to death : ( wow! : (

  • awesome video

  • they need bigger Hoses

  • no one hurt and a valuable lesson learned.....hopefully

  • Lesson 1: Don't burn up your fire trucks ;-)

  • I agree ilovemeagan, that wasnt that dangerous of a move and was a logical decision. I'm suprised the apparatus moved with the outriggers partially down and the boom raised though.

  • i remember seeing this on WGAL last year

  • Yes there is. The manufacturer(after the fact of course) was baffled that they were able to do what they did because they said it should have "never happened"

  • We had the same problem here in the Netherlands, now we can overrule the safety so we can pull back (slowly) if we need to. It's not funny to wait for the 'ping' sound that your engine is ' well done'

  • @MrWilburne if you know your way around fire equipment you can fool the sensors to make it think its all the way down when its not

  • and to think its all rebuilt

  • where was this?

  • I believe this was in Mechanicsburg, PA

  • Eisenhower Blvd., Harrisburg (there is an ABC Lanes in mechanicsburg, though)

  • Good thiking on the guys with the handline. Prolly saved the guys in the bucket, and Mr Willburne dont mind guys trash talking your other vid. The operator did a excellent job and the chief made the decision to save lives and equipment. kudos to your department

  • dang that babys rollin!
