  • Bahaha think if as the balloons were flying higher and higher up when they let the LED lights fly away with the balloons an airplane just happens to fly by in bad timing and the lights somehow make the airplane crash

  • Why did they use so many balloons? Each one would've provided nearly a pound of lift, so they had 60 lbs pulling up on that string not to mention the force the wind would've put on it! And why didn't they just use Xmas lights?

  • We weighed the lights and the string and the batteries beforehand, and selected the right number of balloons and what we thought would be a strong enough string. Unfortunately, we failed to take into account the strong winds tugging on the string.

    LED Christmas lights have thick heavy cabling and require outlets or a source of power, which we did not have in the middle of a field. The battery-powered LEDs worked fine -- just the string failed.

  • it was fun, but really cold! The hot chocolait was a nice touch. I liked when they did string of diamonds at nuit blanch it was warmer :-D
