The early BruceBruce sounds much more like a Rock singer than he does later on...even in his experimental phase with BTP an Skunkworks!

I wouldn't agree with that. The two albums that Samson recorded with Bruce's replacement Nicky Moore (Before the Storm and Don't Get Mad Get Even) sold more units than the Bruce period albums. The Bruce line up never played outside of the Uk, whereas the Nicky Moore line up played several UK tours, and headlined larger venues.

not really,bruce herd and seen maiden when he was in samson and thought that the band would sound really great with him,so he found out they needed a new singer and tried out,and the rest is history.

dont get me wtong i like maiden but samson was a great band and maiden was great with paul dianno,even though he was gay.

Paul sadly died with cancer in 2002. Chris died with throat cancer just last January (2007).. greast band. I saw them at Readin festival.. must have been 1980 which was Thundersticks last gig.

shut up! Bruce isn't a twat! He's the best singer Maiden ever had and still have. Yes they went downhill because some Christian groups meant they was satanists, but they're not. so after it cleared up, Maiden has just walked straight to the top and received many awards, sold a high number of albums and singles, and they are one of the best legendary heavy metal bands who walk this earth.

That certainly brings back a few memories (like Bruce's dodgy tache, and Sticky's leopard-skin leotard)

Samson were one of the greatest of the NWOBHM bands and, like Diamond Head, it's hard to understand why they didn't make it to the next level (although I suppose losing your frontman to Iron Maiden doesn't help :-p)

I bet a few people in the front row pissed themselves when Sticky came out from behind his kit ~ but he's exceptionally well-behaved in this particular clip...
