This video doesn't show another side, or even consider it (it isn't meant to). The hard reality is that these same women would probably be just as depressed with their lives, jobs, and financial situation out of their hands due to little help from the community with bringing up a child. They would probably resent the child that was the result of an accidental or forced pregnancy (rape), and that would cause tension in the family. Society would send them on a guilt trip for out-of-wedlock...
These women probably couldn't tell their parents, couldn't tell too many friends out of fear of having their community humiliate them. Part of the problem is how pregnant women are treated. Also, a problem is how women who had abortions are treated. People seeking them out to amplify their guilt or try to make them have guilt. That is unfair. If these women reacted the way they did before the abortion, the gynecologist should have delayed it, and if afterwards, they should have received therapy.
Everyone should be a lot more sensitive about this. Who has proof that these women are lying? There are many more women who also seriously regret their abortions and have to live with it. Part of the problem is the stigmatization of out-of-wedlock and teenage pregnancies, and being unable to go to anyone important (family, clergy) to openly and honestly discuss your options and how you feel about them without someone else's opinions shoved down your throat.

Most 21 year olds are NOT ready to become parents now, and to force someone to give up their education or whatever other life they have before them at that age just isn't right. A 3-month old is not physically dependent on another human being for LIFE. It's dependent for CARE, however those carers do not need to be the biological parents.

I had an abortion (RU-486) and my husband and I didn't think twice about it. I always knew what I would do in the situation. I was on Birth Control at the time. I went to planned parenthood and they were extremely professional and kind to me. And they did card, they had to turn someone away. And in regards to the comments about dozens of people waiting and asking names down the line, go to any clinic especially free clinics and you'll see they are like this. I in no way regret doing it.

This video doesn't show another side, or even consider it (it isn't meant to). The hard reality is that these same women would probably be just as depressed with their lives, jobs, and financial situation out of their hands due to little help from the community with bringing up a child. They would probably resent the child that was the result of an accidental or forced pregnancy (rape), and that would cause tension in the family. Society would send them on a guilt trip for out-of-wedlock...

These women probably couldn't tell their parents, couldn't tell too many friends out of fear of having their community humiliate them. Part of the problem is how pregnant women are treated. Also, a problem is how women who had abortions are treated. People seeking them out to amplify their guilt or try to make them have guilt. That is unfair. If these women reacted the way they did before the abortion, the gynecologist should have delayed it, and if afterwards, they should have received therapy.

Everyone should be a lot more sensitive about this. Who has proof that these women are lying? There are many more women who also seriously regret their abortions and have to live with it. Part of the problem is the stigmatization of out-of-wedlock and teenage pregnancies, and being unable to go to anyone important (family, clergy) to openly and honestly discuss your options and how you feel about them without someone else's opinions shoved down your throat.

Also, condoms will pretty much do the same thing.
Other family units are possible, and are practiced, for example living in extended family with your parent, grandparents, who can help you raise the child. Nuclear families are a relatively new phenomenon.
As for welfare checks...are you assuming single mothers do not work?

When you speak of fidelity, you mean fidelity for how long? 2 years, then move on to another man? You act as if option A and B are the only options. They are not.That's really a limited world view. It's possibly to cohabit happily and raise a family, without any marriage license. Option C
There is also the option of being single, but not a mother - option D
There's the option of co-parenting after divorce, option E
There is the option of being in a relationship, not cohabiting, no children - option F
I'm sure there's more. I choose option F.

With an exception for medical reasons, the only other human being the husband's penis is allowed to touch is his wife.

You deleted your last comment. Once again, this is a matter of semantics. The unmarried but cohabitating with fidelity couple is in fact a married couple in the state I live in. I live in Pennsylvania, and that is a common law marriage with all the rights and privileges of a married couple.

@secularenegadether ok, whatever you say. In my opinion, it's not a real marriage of it ends in divorce. Real marriages end in death. In my opinion, if it ends in divorce, it was never a real marriage to begin with. The law can think something else. But in my book, that's how I think.

That such a large an majestic creature as an elephant exists, could also be seen as "miraculous". Yet I do not want an elephant in my back yard. I do not wish to have to feed it, clean its shit, or dedicate my time to it. I feel the same about children...and no-one should be able to force me, or an other woman into unwanted motherhood.

And I would never let that happen. No one will FORCE me to have something VIOLATING my body against my wishes. If abortion were illegal, I'd find other ways...but I assure you, that child would NEVER be born.

The fact that I use contraceptives is a CLEAR SIGN i do NOT accept pregnancy. Period. It's clear as day. Thinking people will never have sex just because there's a 0,1 percent they might get knocked up is ludicrous.

I do not need an excuse. I wish to have control over how I live my life. Having control over your reproductive health is a huge part of that.

A 3-month old is not physically dependent on another human being for LIFE. It's dependent for CARE, however those carers do not need to be the biological parents.
So killing a 3-month-old, if anything, defeats the point. An3-month-old old can be put up for adoption, into foster care, left on the steps of a church...whatever.
But a fetus cannot physically exist without the woman who hosts it...and it has no right to be there without her explicit and continued consent.

And where did I say I accept it as a living human ? In no way do I find embryo's/fetuses equal to living human beings. They have the potential to become one, but aren't yet.
But assume they were...an adult also would have NO right to use my body for his survival without my consent. If someone kidnapped me and hooked himself up to my blood supply, I could rightfully kill him in self-defense, as he is violating my bodily integrity.

The scientific definition of a human? Any cell which contains 46 chromosomes.
The scientific definition of living? Anything that requires nutrients.
When the sperm meets the egg that cell instantely has 46 chromosomes and begins taking nutrients, SO scientifically it is a human. True you could kill him, but a baby inside the womb is defensless and is something you created knowing the risks, Isnt that a little selfish to create a living human then murder it because its inconvinient?

Under your definition of "human", children with Down Syndrome are not human. They have one chromosome too many. There are several such syndromes, so I guess under your definition we can just go out and shoot them? Definition fail number one.
Now, for living. My blood cells also need nutrients. Plants need nutrients, animals do...yet the have no protection from being terminated. So living is not even an issue.
My skin cells have 46 chromosomes and need nutrients. Your arguments are moot.

I do not make fun of Christians. I do not find their state of being funny, really. Quite the opposite. I'm not particularly involved in their lives, it's not really a productive thing for me to do. However, if they start telling me what to do with my life, my body, my potential offspring...then rest assured, I will fight them with all I have.

As for selfishness...that's not even an issue. Firstly, you do not know the circumstances of all women having abortions. Second, their character is not the issue.
Regardless of your reasons or your character, you have the right to decide your life for yourself.
If you leave your sick parents in a old folks home, never visit them and pretend they don't exist - that could be seen as selfish, or evil - yet it's not illegal. Why? Because people get to CHOOSE these things. Hooray freedom.

Its funny that you mention the sick people thing, my grandma is currently dieing from emphazema and i visit her often, but it is illegal to ignore an elderly persons needs elderly abuse and neglect is illegal, and wrong as abortion, As for the selfishness YES it is very selfish, if you could see the child you baby would become and the adult it would become you would NEVER have an abortion. The joy you would get from a child is far greater than what you can comprehend right now.

Throughout history women have gone through drastic measures to get rid of an unwanted pregnancy. My great grandmother drank kerosene during the great depression and it nearly killed her. Keep abortion safe and legal. Illegal abortion kills women.

European nations that have true sex education and easily available birth control also allow abortion BUT their abortion rates are LESS b/c people don't need to get them. Once again, education is the key to solving our problems, but these people thrive when ignorance is abound.

I had an abortion (RU-486) and my husband and I didn't think twice about it. I always knew what I would do in the situation. I was on Birth Control at the time. I went to planned parenthood and they were extremely professional and kind to me. And they did card, they had to turn someone away. And in regards to the comments about dozens of people waiting and asking names down the line, go to any clinic especially free clinics and you'll see they are like this. I in no way regret doing it.

it's not the bodies, it's the disrespect for the women who've gone through terminating a pregnancy, and the disrespect for the fetus' who died as a result. Parading around their dead bodies is not respectful, to the people who have to look at them, to the women who had to terminate them using their bodies, and to them as human beings.

If it is so traumatic for some woman to abort, then why do it? I do feel sorry for the women who regret it.

except that many of the photo's are from still born children who died in utero and needed help being removed. so many of them are late term photo's which don't happen often at all and never without medical reasons. I think women need to think long and hard about their choice so that there are no (or as few as possible) regrets, abortion is not "an easy way out" there is no easy way of dealing with an unplanned pregnancy.

I can see that, even being pro-life, I can see two scenarios in which that might be reasonable. If you were raped or have an ectopic pregnancy. I believe I used the term "ectopic" correctly. Yes? To me I only care about how "undetermined" is defined in this situation, unless it talks about the two terms above.
