I am inspired by seeing someone your age keeping the Bluegrass flame alive. The slight funk edge is cool and you have a very rich character laden voice. Your singing is actually preferable to me than listening to Bill Monroe or the Bray Brothers. But, Bill Monroe and the lesser known Bray Brothers are true American Treasures to be celebrated. I think he'd get a lottt of hits on youtube if he kept making covers w/ his violin & him singing... especially if he did popular songs. People would be interested cuz this is so different and nothing anyone's really seen. I play some violin, but just for the school orchestra. Out of curiosity, I searched up "singing while playing violin" and eventually landed on this! This is SO cool! I always thought of classical music, but he really changed things up! :) hehe

hey!!!! I love what y'all do and I think it is really awesome that you are interested in teaching people to play. I have been wanting to fiddle on it for quite some time, but I could never find any books or vids to show me how! I went to y'all's website and they were helpful, but I still had trouble considering that the cords shown were only for violin. Could you please post on your website some viola cord fingerings for your "c-stringed" friends??? :D

@benwithaviolin Congratulations! It's a lot of fun. Do a google search for "The ToneWay Project" for our website with free beginner video lessons (unlike anything else available online). Playing by ear is a must for this, so looking for sheet music is a red herring. Be patient, being able to do stuff like this arrangement competently may take years. But having fun with the instrument can happen right away. Cheers :-) ~Luke
