  • Да! - это не ослов ебать по пригоркам!

  • lol "Homer" !

  • Its like a plane with rotors!

  • The USA looked at it and said: I know how to make it less retarded.

    Enter the Osprey.

  • @F3Zero1 But can the Osprey carry two trucks?

  • @F3Zero1 You forgot to mention WHY this helicopter is retarded.....??

  • That's a fucking airplane.

  • That thing is insane

  • Incredible! Imagine the hydraulic forces needed to turn such a large craft as well as the gyroscopic forces!

  • damn that sucker has some mass

  • What. The. !@#$. Just call it a airplane. lol

  • It's "RUSSIAN". :))

  • How many hours maintenance per hour of flight?

  • russians are fukin stupid

  • @dillonislolz

You desperately lack creativity, better finish school, then try again.

  • Quite good Soviet technologies developed in 1960, in Russia now also exist helicopters capable to transport greater(big) cargoes-planes, helicopters, cars.....

  • sorry, but this helicopter not russian. This Soviet machine ~_~

  • I tot Homer was yellow=)

  • @kittseong good one!! love it and homer is yellow

  • what a heap!!!!

  • just like a V22 accept its bigger and it only has a fix landing gear, but the rotor doesn't tilt forward and fly fast, maybee the future model might have it.

  • triangles, triangles, triangles.

  • "why is it so big"... IT IS RUSSIAN

  • Wow.....just wow

  • You know what we should do? Get one of these, and outfit it to fight fires, then permanently station it in New York City.

  • You know what we should do? Get one of these, and outfit it to fight fires, then permanently station it in New York City.

  • amazing made in rusia

  • SO CHEAP ITS PART OF AN AIRPLANE JUST HAVING ROTORS OF A HELICOPTER

  • @Germancly Really?

  • does he say super pussy at 0:35? 0.o

  • @Mar10nii he says piusE (AE) the E has a appostrophe above the E.

  • @Mar10nii

Not when I am drinking my tea. I blarted all over the place.

  • @falomada this is different because these can benifit all where as fans and such just benifit 1 group

  • This thing has to have some power.

  • Wow, thats pretty cool. I don't really see a practical use for it but it is impressive nonetheless. My hunch is this came out of the cold war attitude of mine is bigger than yours and I am going to prove it. Thx for posting this. I love unique and rare aircraft.

  • @shananagans5 Sure you would see the practical use of it if it was only American, wouldn't you? Nevertheless peaceful comment. Many thanks for that. BTW: What is the practical use of the capability to vertically lift uge payloads without any runway? Difficult to understand, I see.

  • @TheBluewaterII It seems to me that something capable of heavy lift but a bit smaller would be more practical. Less space needed to land, easier to work on, lower maintenance costs less expensive to replace. In times when as much as possible needs to be moved this would shine but more units of something a bit smaller would be better suited for more missions. An army will need to move 3 or 4 trucks far more often than they need to relocate the entire army. A smaller unit would be used more often

  • @TheBluewaterII Don't get me wrong, it's a brilliant design but why use a bus that seats 90 people when you usually only need to move 50 people. On those rare occasions you do need to move 90 people, just use 2 buses. See what I am saying?

  • @shananagans5 Thanks again, this time for the lesson. :-) I only reflected your statement you won't see ANY use of the thing. In the sixtees the Russians believed they easily could exploit their Siberian ressources by giant technological means. The Mi-12 (W-40 so far) was designed to transport a whole oil digging unit, equipment and crew, at once. Bigger is cheaper is better, the philosophy was. Unfortunately, economists as well as technicians proved it wrong. And only some FIA-records remained.

  • they should make a load of new ones, would sell well

  • Not even a helicopter. Most of them that i've seen have one central rotor

  • @NoPancakeMixxx that is a helicopter. It can have as many roters as it wants. I guess your not the big aviation person but thats ok

  • @IsaacD39 Well aren't you just the coolest guy around? Just stating my opinion, didn't ask for that remark. I am a big aviation person, I just don't happen to study wierd ass Soviet aircraft. Thanks and have a nice day

  • @NoPancakeMixxx you said "not even a helicopter"... thats not an opinion, thats stating it like its fact. not just "wierd ass soviet aircraft" have 2 rotors like this... the American Chinook has 2.

  • @KottonmouthSoldiers Correction. I said MOST of them I've seen have only one. Wow nobody reads anything anymore

  • @NoPancakeMixxx no, no. i read that. but just because something has two propellers does not mean its "not even a helicopter". you said most you have seen have 1 central rotor, and that you dont study weird ass soviet craft... so i was just stating that not all 2-rotor craft are soviet. so, are you saying that two-rotor soviet helicopters are not helicopters? because when you boil it down, thats basically what it reads... and therefore, what i think you meant does not = what you wrote.

  • Its hard jerking off to this stuff.

  • They got time to make this junk?

  • french language sound great

  • "that's a big helicopter"

    "it's russian eh!"

  • It's not as big as the Hotelicopter!

  • cool whoever made it, super

  • Russians sure like big aircraft

  • You know how bad it would suck if one of these crashed? Especially if it was carrying a colony of baby seals D=

  • looks like a v22 osprey and a boeing had a strange mutant baby!

  • Damned russians with their vodka and largest things

  • Get to the Choppa!

  • That's a big ass choppa!

  • I always wonder why these posts turn into fights over who builds better aircraft....why cant we just appreciate technical achievements of each others aviation industries.. Russians built some cool stuff.. Americans have built some cool stuff,as have the Canadians (avro arrow) British Italians Germans and French.. and we cant forget the Swedes... Draken and Viggen... waay ahead of thier times.... just chill and enjoy the aircraft....

  • @Truckincold I agree, let's not fight about who makes better planes ... let's fight about WHOSE GOD HAS A BIGGER COCK!!!! (Carlin's line)

  • @theangrypersian That would be a good suggestion...if there actually a god(dess) which there is not and if there were I would still have more balls and a bigger cock. My dog could also eat their dog.

    ;^)

  • @Truckincold america is WAY ahead of their time

  • @tonystarification No it isn't.

  • @rsx123 u sure do u know about their new ballistic missle and ray gun and there new planes like the fa/37 and other jets and commercial planes

  • @rsx123 yeah and it's gona kill us. We need to slow down so we dont make one giant mistake

  • @Truckincold i agree same with the Concorde and the tu-144

  • @Truckincold You are absolutely right. Yet, I think it's a funny coincidence that for building large or extremely large helicopters you need a russian, even if he is an emigrated one (Sikorsky).

  • @Truckincold Shut up.

  • @Truckincold Ehh, i do agree with you except the Canadian part - the Avro Arrow was a slight modification of the F-108 Starfighter

  • @Mattc23q You mean F-104.

  • @Truckincold Don´t forget Santos Dumont´s 14 bis.

  • @Truckincold The same reasons all jews are good with money, all asians good at maths, and all black people are good at murder...People are idiots.

  • @thatman64 You mean the same reasons internet trolls like you suck at spelling and making sense?

  • @thatman64 blacks are good at something? wow.. first i hear lol im kidding, oh thot asians were good at kicking ass and jews at starting wars.. oooooo yeah i went there lol haha

  • @Truckincold Totally agree. Also, bigger doesn't always mean better....

  • don't let RAMBO see this.....

  • And they said soviets weren't advanced ! ВОЗЬМИТЕ ЭТО РЕВНУЕТЕ USSR RULED BETTER THAN AMERICA !! U-ASS-A CAN NOT CHALLENGE THIS MASTERPIECE !!!

  • Talk about Fuel Efficiency. Lol

  • @brent07 well fuel efficiency versus utility would be quite in place.

  • but will it blend?

  • U.S vs Russia = WW3 (mind the Cold War)

  • russian MI 12 homer...

    in french.

  • its a plane with the wings chopped off and heli rotors strapped on.

  • @firebomber39 Hey... The Sputnik was only a metal ball with antenas that beeped but scared the shit out of 100 million americans...

  • @arvelos76 I saw sputnik 3 in 1958 while I was in Turkey....cool to see it moving across the sky!!

  • @firebomber39 everyone makes unique aircraft. i love watching the exotic ones.

  • look like a plan...no credit for this one...

  • Amazing machine. Somewhat same ending script as the AN225.

  • too bad i don know fr

  • WHAT?....................WHAT DID HE SAY?

  • Looks like the Russians took the Fairey Rotodyne concept and developed it!!

  • @StollyNeil This 'copter has absolutely NO engineering equivalent in concept or achievement with any other heli.

  • @aizad3755 Probably - the concept looks similar although the Rotodyne's rotor was unpowered, basically it was a massive autogyro built to overcome the need for STOL operations in those days. It never entered production. I'm guessing this beauty has powered rotors - would have loved to have seen one flying..... sigh!!!

  • she aint prety tho

  • In soviet russia, helicopter pilots YOU!

  • rayos que grande @_@

  • this thing is just a big ass V-22 Osprey

  • @leralon I'd rather have a V-22, this thing is just a commercial plane with some home made wings and helicopter engines. Probably didn't take long to throw together and lasted not much longer.

  • @mudslinger1984 Theres about 20 years of difference so hard to compare. Also V-22 can carry about 3 big cars (weight, not size), while this puppy can carry a V-22 loaded with 3 big cars and some more ;)

  • it look like a plane

    crossbred of plane and helicopter

  • A helicopter has had sex with a plane!

  • biggest target ever......

  • according to nanchoengineering the Russians have the balls to... invent the flying dick. yes... yes they can.

  • Why was the project cancelled?

  • only russians are capable of such things:)

  • @toni2526 very true ;)

  • Pre-tay Pre-tay.. Pre-tay.. Pre-tey Good!

  • Thats awsome!!

  • the lang is french not the chopper

  • да бля! была такая техника!!!)

  • @DylanofMD You are correct. It is in French. Awesome aircraft, can I buy one :-)?

  • they dont sound russian im russian and i know my language

  • @ssnnkk1133 I'm pretty sure it's in French. Sounds French to me.

  • And we(Americans) thought we were so clever with the MV-22 of generally the same concept....and look how long that took us to make, the russians had it figured out 50 years ago!

  • And we(Americans) thought we were so clever with the MV-22 of generally the same concept....and look how long that took us to make

  • its a half plane half helicopter

  • @wojtek123286 No. Search Wikipedia for Mil V-12

  • I'm sure maintenance time is horrendous. So is fuel consumption.

  • @transdrole Not really. It fuel consumption is comparable to consumption of a single MiG-21 old USSR jet fighter, and maintenance isn't really different from light jet airplane. The problem was it's purpose: it was meant to transport heavy ballistic missiles parts to dislocations without solid roads for land transporting, let alone airplanes usage. At certain point, lighter and more efficient missiles were built, and this helicopter became no longer needed.

  • This is actually a slightly bigger version of the MI-12 Bart.

  • Oh wow a limo! SHOTGUN!

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah but whats the largest single rotor heli?

  • @BoomBoy13 MI - 26

  • ... simpson

  • looks like a FA-223 had a midair crash with a C-130 and turned into this on the way down...

  • a vast country needs vast machinery.

  • For Russia's fetish for building largest machines...It always comes off that they're compensating for something...Am I the only one who thinks this?

  • Rotor wash must have been monstrous.

  • If it's ugly, it must be British.

If it's weird, it must be French.

If it's ugly and weird, it must be Russian.

  • @newcombstrohschein Nah all of them apply to you and what people regard you as

  • @SaxonSmileyFace Ouch baby, very ouch.

  • @newcombstrohschein yes,yes,if it's ugly,fat and dirty is american,100%hahaha

  • Just two Mi-12 were ever built and none had practical use and both went to museums very soon. I live in Brazil.

  • chuck norris's ceiling fan

  • @r0dnee lol

  • of course it is russian

  • Russia is ever great. I live in Brazil and I'm not a communist.

  • @daltonagre But Brazilian are not communist \ Mas brazileiros não são comunistas

  • Communists make the biggest shit in the world, you gotta give them that. (Please exclude Vietnam, Cuba, and North Korea from that statement) Even the Ukraine made the biggest fuck up in Nuklear power history.

  • is'nt this copyrighted from one of sonic the hedgehog's levels?

  • Haha a French broadcast of a Soviet helicopter. Why does Russia always try to build the biggest pile of junk? Wow it can lift anything, but only lasts 5 years haha.

  • This is a copy of the first NAZI helicopter, but bigger...

  • Helicopters; I've never seen a bird fly in this fashion, so it can't be a good idea...

  • @The7576Dave You haven't seen internet not lasers in nature either. Rockets? No?

  • @Nadirion1 Yup and none of them are entirely good either.

  • @The7576Dave Humming birds, the helo of the bird world...

  • my first reaction when it took off was "holy crap it can fly"

  • Anybody tried building an RC model of that?

  • D'OH!

  • how many troops could it carry?

  • @killercrabman

    An army.

  • It's called Homer because NATO labels all Russian helicopters with simple names that start with H. I suppose Homer was next on the list.

This machine did everything that it was designed to do, but after the two prototypes were built, the Strategic Rocket Forces decided that they could make do with smaller and cheaper helicopters like the Mi-6 Hook.

  • those russian's lol

  • why?

  • HOLY HORSE FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wow those Russians were just trying to make things as big as possible :P

  • thats a plane/helicopter hybrid

  • why is this named after a poet?

  • @solarnight25 it's named after Homer Simpson because he's a big fat guy XD

  • @solarnight25

'Homer' is the NATO reporting name for the Mil Mi-12.

  • shes a right beast

  • dayum that's big! pictures don't do it justice, you can't tell how big it is until you see people next to it

  • @TheMaxwell777 Its good to be phat.

  • @skyvilla no its not
