  • guys im going to do this but my 80 gb ps3 is different when i take it apart i got it in 2009 a refurb model

  • It shouldn't matter if the heatsink moves down as the backplate of the CPU/GPU is screwed onto the heatsink with the CPU/GPU sandwiched in between.

  • Hi thanks for the vid! I done this to clean out my ps3, but now the ps3 is constantly trying to eject a disk that isn't in there? Do you know what the problem could be? It didn't happen until I disassembled the ps3 :(

  • @Cameroncars try takeing it apart again and start it up with the top off maybe the tops on too tight and pressing it by mistake

  • @mexicankid74 Thanks, I tried that before and originally I thought the bluray drive was broken! It seemed to fix itself luckily :D
