  • I dare anyone top this in a creative way in music. Vangelis composes in, masterpiece art comes out, you cant explain that.

  • I don't know why I like Blade Runner so much. On a scale of 1-10 I'd put the story at about a 6-7. I think it's just that everything else about this movie is absolutely perfect

  • Smoking a bowl to this

  • you Gotta LOVE Vangelis

  • Because no one dislikes this song.

  • awesome track it brings me back to the 80s pushin the VHS cassette and kickin back on the lounge watchin Deckard kick some replicant ass.. I lived that time of my life..

  • the cold makes my hand and my face numb, i almost cant feel them. The buildings are so tall i barely see the sky, the avenue is so crowded and people look so sad and blue, where have we gone this wrong? how come we cant go back? am i sleeping? is this a nighmare? nll drift aimlessly in my head staring at the tragic civilazation we came to be, looking for an answer, maybe, giving sense to all this

  • 0:55 DUM-DUM! Wish that bass was louder xD

  • 1 AM , 10 PM will be too crowded. The city has to look abandone and should be a heavy fog. Yes, you have to cup the smoke. Think of Sam Spade. :-) This song is lonely song. It you against a cold uncaring city. A throw back of a bygone era. Yes it is a shame that we never enjoy a smoke in a few years.

  • bellisimaaa

  • This song is great. Everytime I hear it. I imagine myselft. Walking in a large city at 1:00 AM with a trench coat. Mabe stop in a conrner lighting a cigerette.

  • @tazali08 lol why 1? 10pm sounds about right to me. : ) also I bet you would have to cup the smoke to able to keep it dry. A shame we will never be able to enjoy that luxury as in a few years they will probably ban smoking on side walks, like in Japan.

  • Th.ey have released several differant cuts of the movie. The one I prefer is the one with Harrison Ford's dialogue. It remeinded me of one of those old Bogard movies and detective movies were the main character would explain how he felt. I know that the other versions took that out because they felt the visuals were enough but I think that after Dekker shoots the red headed replicant and she goes through a bunch of glass and he says that Blade Runner s weren't sapose to have fealings--

  • The sound of the Place that is no place and yet is all places ..the sound of the dance of Dark and Light that is behind all things..

You and me, drowning there ..and being born from it, again and again... for L

  • 1. Pause the video.

    2. Open a new tab and go to RainyMood . com

    3. Play the song simultaneous with the rain sound.

    4. Lay back and relax.

  • @JurgenCutters

It is nice, isn't it? Youtube has a video 'the sound of rain' and I posted something similar to your comment.

Just imagine this music, rainy days and lot's of neon lights in a big city!

  • @Feanic Yea, I saw it at the Deadmau5 I remember track. It suits perfectly for this track. Because in the Blade Runner game you hear the Blade Runner Blues when you're in his appartment, standing on the balcony. Man, how I wish there was some kind of place like the world in Blade Runner :P

  • @JurgenCutters wow that is a great idea!

  • sometimes when im down i drive my car throu the empty streets in my city late at night listening to this . makes me feel like im in a movie myself ..

  • immortality is much more than we mere mortals imagine

  • Yesterday i saw this movie,fucking awesome ¡¡¡¡

  • Philip K. Dick's book , Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep Was well thumbed. It was then given to us by Director Ridley Scott, Musician Vangelis and futurist designer Syd Mead. Put these guys together and we get the film Bladerunner.......Somehow it's gonna work and has done for many years. Can't stop watching it.... Can't stop listening to it...... Thanks for the post. Much appreciated.

  • =D 0 dislikes.

  • this song describes what an absolute value feels, eternity, infinity, everywhere and nowhere, everything and nothing.

  • I appreciate the 3cd box set soundtrack but id rather stick with the single Vangelis soundtrack to the movie. All of it would ruin it for me if when next time I watch Blade Runner.

  • This track is great to listen to while sitting in the dark on a big sofa chair/ottoman drinking a nice glass of whiskey.

  • nothings lasts.......but nothing is lost.

  • Future blues, I like.

  • Zo Mooi

  • Now I know where cowboy bebop got it's aesthetics .

  • If you like Blade Runner Blues, there are other pieces by Vangelis which feature tracks with a certain "Blade Runner" vibe. Here are some: Reve - Opera Savauge;

Le Singe Bleu - L'apocalypse Des Animaux; Dawn - The City; Antarctica Echos - Antarctica; Song of White - Antarctica; Memory of Antarctica - Antarctica.

  • The perfect song for rainy days or restless nights.

  • An amazing song, does wonders for insomnia. Whenever I hear this song I don't think about Deckard and Rachel, I always think about Zhora crashing through those window panes. To me that's one of the most memorable scenes.

  • How can this song make me feel so..dejected... and content at the same time?

  • contented in dejection?

  • @RhythmDroid That's exactly it hahaha

  • its background vibrating makes me think about the future and then its melancholic blues resembles so good the sadness in philips vision.

I can try to describe it but i cant find all the words or maybe i would have to write a book just for this song.

  • Remember the Yamaha CS 80 Synthesizer.

One of the best ever !

And i love Blade Runner !

  • deliciously dark... I LOVE this.. captures the mood of BR so perfectly. OMG!! Vangelis is BRILLIANT----------------

  • da kann Musik",zur Droge werden.

  • I've seen Blade Runner ...probably 75 - 80 times, This movie and soundtrack NEVER get old! AWESOME!

  • mesmerizing

  • @tagtenor I couldn't agree more.. Marvelous.. Terribly melancholic and quite sad too...Famous final scene makes my eyes water... I'm sorry I cannot get this fragment of the movie together with the music...

  • @tagtenor I have seen Blade Runner for 26 times but it isn't end.

  • From where did you got that wallpaper? :) btw the music just brings you to another place and time, some strange dimension... I love it!

  • google I guess

  • @banxafe I couldn't find right words but you could. Yeah this music shows you somithing hidden from everyone's eyes. The melody belongs to rainy weather of course. Feeling it is just amazing.

  • @banxafe

    well

did you mean the background picture of the song ?

    Because ... THIS is a screenshot !!!

  • This is by FAR the best movie hollywood has EVER made!!!

    My god this is good!!

  • Yes, Mr. Hollywood is a pretty versatile producer but this has to be the best movie he has ever made.

  • Agreed!

  • Best movie anyone has ever produced imo.

  • When I first saw this movie back in 1982 I thought that this was the greatest movie soundtrack i'd ever heard. I still think that way.

  • richardharris44... Indeed, the soundtrack was so unconventional back then that many could not appreciate it as they do now...it's a testament to how this has not only become a classic movie, but also as to how it has become an icon about life, art, and cinema in the early 1980's....

  • awesome song to an awesome movie :)

incredibly relaxing, ambient and something which just lets your mind wander into the abyss

  • This is my favorite track of the ost .....I never get sick of this......

  • this melody is similar to an orgasm! wow

  • yeaah. you´re right!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This song gets me high...literally.

  • Yeah i have always wanted to make a Conversion mod for Max Payne 2, i was going to recreat the film and have a cut scene for Batty's death, but never got round to it, mabey i should?

  • if you know how to make such stuff, do it. i will be the first to watch it.

  • Thanks, if the project starts, i'll inform you:)

  • yahaaaa cimer pour l' upload mon pote
