This movie was not original at all, its really sad that the writers took multiple from the scary movie scences, Horror movies will never be the same. Its a clear sign since there's so many horror remakes out their in the past 5 years. Who takes scences from a movie that made a parody about your original movie.

Loved it! My favorite in the franchise. I don't what you're talking about when you say the "New decade. New rules" thing disappeared after the 1st 10 minutes. To me that seemed like a significant theme throughout, especially when being discussed by Charlie & Robbie, the movie geek duo running in the vein of Randy from the 1st 3. I also thought it was funny how the movie (in addition to parodying the genre) parodied itself. Even my mom liked it when she saw it. That twist was insane! 9/10
2:25 I was like that after watching Youth and Revolt but that feeling progressed into What did i just watch, and then THAT MOVIE SUCKED I WONT WATCH IT AGAIN EVER! I never had that feeling about a movie before :P

I just saw the Trilogy last night...I thought it was so good, the way it all connected and I laughed at times, the way the victims fight back the killers (i laughed so hard seeing Taiyt smash those beers at him and he tumbles so bad! XD ) and I LOVED the hilarious tips that Randy gives us (my favorite has to be the Trilogy, it's like the dude's psychic...kinda) so I can't wait for SCRE4M to come to DVD!
dam it with crappy sequals. Now im not saying all but most directors are so cheap. Heres why, not haveing to write a complete new storyline and useing the basis of an original movie is the way to go if you dont want to pay 2 million to a screen writer. thats why were seeing all these dam remakes today. im suprised they didnt jus add scenes from the original to this to this to save even more lol.
Terrible movie, they should left it alone as a trilogy and not continue. Scream does not belong in this century, it belongs in the 90's. No need to beat a dead horse to death, besides folks the 90's teen slasher trend died a painful death in 2002 with Halloween 8 being the nail in the coffin. Torture Porn was a radical response to them, then they suffered from a backlash in 2009 as horror fans grew bored with gore-and-blood and went back to ghost stories with Paranormal Activity.
I liked 1,2,4,3. I like how they can never kill off Dewey or Gale. Nothing against them, but seems like they get shot, stabbed and all that stuff but yet won't die like the rest of them.

Have you seen Cannibal Holocaust and Dead Alive? best gore movies ever. Cannibal Holocaust is the movie that started that whole lost footage horror genre that inspired Paranormal Activity, Blair Witch, Last Exorism and more.
When Sidney kicked the killer almost lightly, and then he flew down the stairs was fucking hilarious. Also, how can you get stabbed through the head and have enough time to get out of the car and walk a few feet down the road before you die?
I agree that the beginning and ending were both awesome. The opening was the best of the series in my opinion, and the ending went crazy. The middle was a little bit convoluted, and part of that came from having new characters and trying to get everyone screen time, the the rest redeemed it. It's still not as good as the first, but I thought it was better than the other two

i actully honestly never saw any of the 3 orginal scream movies period i was never a fan of slasher movies untill i saw saw... but even then its like urgh. i also like who did it stories alot. however when watching the trailer i was expecting a good time at the movies and nothing less mabye more but nothing less then a good time at time movies i was not disspointed because i knew what to expect. thats my exprence anyways.

It's kinda lame that all of the new faces always die, with the exception of one lucky bastard, and the three main characters always live. A bunch of old people and some wierdo deputy lived in the end and all the teenagers died. New generation my butt. Also they "killed" the best character in the movie.

what are YOU TAKING about??? First of all Saw defined THIS generations horror genre and what were you expecting from this - the movie of the decade?? And the reasons Dewys limp was gone is b/c they basically are trying to pretend like the last two didn't happen is what I heard. PPL I THOUGHT it was GREAAT, screw his bs ramblinb

@CubbieBear1980 Nah... Saw is not horror... its more like gore, maybe even gore with some stricking moments in which the pig-headed lady suddenly bursts into the screen... which in any case, the reaction you get is a reflect... so it's not real terror..., so neh... doesn't count...

@Evoslingerr assuming Ur a guy, with all due respect and no offense but thats the EXACT argument that GIRLS make about an against Saw. When I go to MY vid store Saw is in the HORROR section! So I dont' know where you guys get that from. EITHER way, Scream SUX in the violence department, all that talk about gutting and they only did it ONCE in the FIRST movie and only truly gave it justice in the DIRECTORS 'cut' (no pun) unrated version.& the 3main characters never dying is RIDIC! 4MOVIES!

@CubbieBear1980 First of all, I respect your argument, I'm not trying to convince you... but certainly, Saw belongs to movies like: "Ichi the Killer" "Meatball Machine" and "Hostel"... You know "Dawn of the Dead" and "Zombieland", they're terror movies too... but they belong to a different subculture... which is zombie-based themes... in the case of Saw, it's GORE movies, and with Scream and Elm Street, it's slasher movies... another example... Secret Window... suspense genre... and thriller too

@Evoslingerr Ur latest coment was much more comprehensive and I'm beginning to get it. I def would agree that Saw is more in the 'thriller' category. But don't you think at the very least that Scream is lacking in gore. And I'm NOT just saying in comparison to Saw, that would be extreme. But4 a movie that claims to 'gut' ppl and actually did (well once in the beginning) in Scream the original, the gore in (or lack there OF) in the others is literally like daytime USA network original movie gore

Have you seen Cannibal Holocaust and Dead Alive? best gore movies ever. Cannibal Holocaust is the movie that started that whole lost footage horror genre that inspired Paranormal Activity, Blair Witch, Last Exorism and more.

When Sidney kicked the killer almost lightly, and then he flew down the stairs was fucking hilarious. Also, how can you get stabbed through the head and have enough time to get out of the car and walk a few feet down the road before you die?

I agree that the beginning and ending were both awesome. The opening was the best of the series in my opinion, and the ending went crazy. The middle was a little bit convoluted, and part of that came from having new characters and trying to get everyone screen time, the the rest redeemed it. It's still not as good as the first, but I thought it was better than the other two
