  • Elizabeth Reed is refered to the character from the book "Jane Eyre"?

  • One of my favorite instrumentals of all time. Reminds me of the ten years (69-79) that I lived in the burbs of Hotlanta.

  • just ate some magic mushrooms and this is a very nice start to a great epic journey

  • @allen3435 How'd it go? You know, Macon is also known for its shrooms.

  • People get so carried away when they have no ability themselves. This album was the only good thing they ever did.

  • This is classic rock/jazz fusion at its best. Listen and you will hear Miles Davis and John Coltrane in there deep. The Allman Brothers Band were masters. This is likely their very best performance.

  • no dislikes, :)

  • Kids it's not about guitar solos a d shredding the axe!

It's the Feeling you get when the song is played and the the replay of the tune over and over!

The vib you get when closing your eyes and just say Keep on Keeping on! BigDocjhnyz!

  • Duane and Dickie were far beyond any modern player because they loved and studied the blues, and played it........\

  • love the way they stretched out a song. had to be an incredible live experience.

  • People who dislike such things...they must be some great geniuses..:)

  • Wow, this is astounding!

  • "In 2003, Rolling Stone magazine named Duane Allman, Warren Haynes, Dickey Betts, and Derek Trucks to their list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time"

FOUR Allman Brothers guitarists are on the list, how the fuck does that even happen?

  • @WrathofKhanII cause they're all gods

  • @Django5198 Lol, my point was that 40 years after they start, almost NO band is still good. Try to prove me wrong, with 10 examples. It just doesn't happen.

  • Django5198...1.jeff beck's guitar playing;2 jagger&richards songwritting and sometimes shows;

    3 BLACK SABBATH.;4 Tangerine dream ;5 Lee Morgan [rip];6 Any Led Zeppelin L.P. ;

    7 LARRY CARLTON'S rol w/STEELY DAN;8 ANY Frank Zappa & Mothers L.P. 9 Yes'

Steve Howe solos ; 10 last but least , MOZART !!! Living or dead was not considered , or genre . There is NO ORDER to these EITHER. Allmans are one of my favs otherwise

why would I have been here ?11 FLOYD too;12 Django ....

  • @ripedecomp jeff beck is great

  • @discomadame ....j. beck is great . he is my Favorite . He Is also , pound for

pound , the best living guitar player . There is this light that shines on all of them over

the past 60 years when it is their turn, too. They all have their moments, because it

is constant. The Music never stops. p.green, blackmore, zappa, carlton, iommi, lespaul

    gibbons,young,e.frose,s.more,d.gilmour,bossomana,b.dogget,mustaine,guy,page

    betts,hendrix,BOA,EMCFADDEN..........

  • @discomadame Is this a FREAKING ALBUM?? This is one of my favorite ABB songs, and at live at filmor eeast is phenomenal, but this whole serties of the "last Day", is just TOO MUCH....Somebody let me know....gottta have it.....reminf=ds me of barrreling down Virginia roads in 1969 @ 100MPH....HA>>>>>>>>HA!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @elpelao2011 Yeah, unfortunately the only official release that "comes close" is the Eat a Peach Deluxe, but it's not this very same performance I'm afraid.

So, what we're listening is considered a Bootleg, and who knows if they'll ever release a proper disc, in "high def".

  • The best instrumental ever, the final couple of minutes are blistering

  • Best guitar solos of all time

    1. Marquee Moon - Television

    2. This one!

    3. Steely Dan "Aja"

    4. "Sweet Jane" Steve Hunter , on Lou Reed's Rocknroll animal

    5. Jessica Allman Brothers band

  • @discomadame maam I'm not trying to be a dick... But best guitar solos of all time are you serious??? Some of these songs don't really even have a guitar solo??? Like we must different idea's of what a guitar solo is... Like I agree with Jessica, but pretty much every Blues song I've ever heard has better solos then your list... O well I did discover some new tunes that I havent heard much at all...

  • @MrGeltabs yeah we must have a very differrent idea of what a guitar solo is... So there's no guitar solo in these songs I mentioned. Puh-lease. I may be a disco madame but I do know how to identify a guitar solo. Mon dieu!

  • @discomadame Maam, I highly doubt that you listen to Metallica ever... But try listening to the "Frayed ends of sanity" that's 2 minutes of strait up shredding!!!!! I think by the songs u posted u may be more into the softer sounding music.. Hey everybody can learn from everyone right?? btw disco u say, what u think about "Maggot Brain" now that's some soloing

  • @MrGeltabs Well, what do you know about me "not listening to Metallica"? I f***ing love that band - BUT I have some other all time favourites when it comes to guitar solos... ;-) Yeah I like Funkadelic! But I only have one record... "One nation...", I will check out Maggot Brain.

  • @MrGeltabs ...Yes , the question posed to me from Django was one of longetivity- 40

years of ,I think how long a bands greatness is ,NOT solos. Because that would be AN

entirely different list . Greatness - HOW STUPID . IF you like or dig someone's music

are they not your favorite and to hell with what someone says..........Why did I bother

with that guy . Cheers and enjoy THE BROTHERS!!!

  • Without things like this to cease to exsist, life would be no point, no fucking.........point what so ever, nothing, family, love it does not matter because this is the basis of our emotion we can feel inside and that is the love for ourself, without it to make us feel it, life would not matter.

  • The Allman Brothers Band with Duanne on guitar, was the best rock'n roll/blues/jazz band in the whole world!!!!

  • @iatlrr

I don't know that we're ever going to see anything like it again. There have been attempts but nobody's done it yet.

  • @DictionRedaction Not necessarily, apparently their albums are still pretty good, but what amazes me is how good Dickey Betts is, and he was originally the "other" guitarist.

  • Damn that 10:44 mark up till the end always makes me feel all fuzzy and warm inside... overwhelming sensation of just listening to it, imagine the fortune of having seen this live?

  • Too bad the band was short circuited by tragedy; this music is incredible. I got my niece listening to these classics on her I Pod and she's only 17.

  • thank you for posting this!

  • Lady Gaga and justin Bieber suck our cocks!!!

  • I'm not superistious, well maybe a little, but this is just the wierdest song to be the 6,666 viewer. Especially considering this song is about an affair and written in a graveyard!

  • Epic tune. Thanks for posting!

  • Powerful performance - A masterpiece of music - The entire band hitting on all cylinders - Thanks for the upload Hendrix - Juiceman

  • i closed my eyes and listened to this. its as close to perfection as humanly possible. i'm sad thinking about what might have been, but truely amazed at what they did. duane and barry might be gone but they will never be forgotten.
