For counties as Poland, Lithuania, Hungary and so on, ending of 2WW, was only the change of the assailant. Of course, real socialism in Poland, was much better than Hitler's felonious policy. Nonetheless, communism brought by "liberators" from USSR was still, in fact, totalitarian regime. Without free speech, universal suffrage, no private property.
